Pretty sure we'll never see them in AU or NZ again
And as a Melbournian that would be a real shame, considering the last time they were here was for festival shows in 14. Last proper tour 2009. Can’t fathom it really, but I tend to agree with you😞.
It is a shame coz the Foos are here soon, RHCP played earlier in the year, War on Drugs heading down soon too. Plenty of great bands touring here. There must be something in it for touring bands ie financially, because if it wasn’t, other bands wouldn’t tour here either. 🤔
We miss you PJ!
According to some with insider info, they are locked in for aus/nz Nov 2024

I hope that proves to be correct.
Hopefully some more reliable information will come very soon. After all a lot of acts are even starting to announce dates into 2025. Simply Red is one I noticed quite recently - they’ve announced UK dates for October 2025. 2 years in advance!!!!
Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer announced today they are playing the Co-op Live Arena in June.

Been almost 20 years since PJ's played the Orlando area...
I mean, they played Tampa and Jacksonville a few years ago. I know that both of those are a drive from Orlando, but it’s not exactly Finland.

Been almost 20 years since PJ's played the Orlando area...
Been over 20 now, since they played Birmingham, AL. Which I dont think is ever happening again.
The new amphitheater in Huntsville is amazing. Would probably happen there before oak mountain.
The Orion in Huntsville is beauty yet is probably too small for PJ (8K). As someone who lives in AL I'd love to see them play here again. It's a longshot so defo won't be holding my breath, ha

Yeah, Orion a great one. I've been to quite a few there, but it is pretty small. Was actually there just last week for Willie Nelson's Outlaw Fest.

I'd come home for that.
That would be a dream. They've been able to get Phish and DMB the last two years, so I think it's definitely possible. I think if they were to play a Bama show, Legacy Arena in Birmingham makes the most sense. It's been renovated within the last couple of years and you could get 18k or so in the venue. The Orion would be an infinitely better atmosphere and experience IMO, but I think Legacy Arena would make the most sense logistically. Anything but Oak Mountain. I hate that place.

We went there for the Foo Fighters, and I kind of dug it.

Do we think they will rehit venues/citites they hit in 2022? Or can we expect them to venture into locations they haven't been to in some time? Like say Kansas City, MO instead of St. Louis again etc etc
Based solely on nothing but boredom…my guess is they do a short East Coast run that includes Ruoff starting in late April, ending in late May of about 8-10 shows. Take a couple weeks, do a 10 show Euro run that ends in Mid July, take about a month off and then do about a 12 show run starting in late August that includes Seattle, Missoula (Tester), SLC, Vegas, and maybe includes a couple BC and Alberta legs. I could see Zona getting shows too (NV and AZ as swing state locations, etc).

You can forget the Legacy Arena that is for sure. Ticket sales were so bad there in 2003 they moved it at the last minute to Oak Mountain. It was all GA except the 10C seats up front and I would guess the place was maybe only 1/2 full at best. And being the Riot Act tour they did not even play 1/2 full. It was very, very cold that night. Eddie said it was the 2nd coldest show they ever played. Maybe the weather played a part in the poor turnout but advance sales had to have been poor for them to change the venue like that at the last minute. People actually got angry at me for going to the show just for political reasons alone. I think the poor turnout was more for political reasons than it was the weather.

Orlando 2003 was just the House of Blues show that had only a select few in attendance at the small venue. Mostly made up of winners from radio contests. Go Animal somehow found his way to that show. Kissimmee is basically Orlando and that was for the 2004 Vote for Change tour. So yes you are correct. It has been almost 20 years since they played the Orlando area.

Hoping we start to get a few more rumours about specific cities soon. As far as I can see the only bits of info so far are:
- Two separate people, a couple of weeks apart, saying they had spoken to sources close to the band saying a 3 leg tour (US leg 1, Europe, US leg 2). One of them saying album in February - Indy show being rescheduled to 2024 - Mike saying a few months ago that they have much more extensive touring plans in 2024 than in 2023 - Jeff saying new songs / new travels in 2024 in an Instagram post around a month ago.

If I were in their shoes, I would definitely look for other cities. Especially when I travel all the way to Europe. Just to see something different. Not always just Berlin. Eddie has already visited the Ramones Museum in Berlin often enough and told us enough about it. Time to have a look at Hamburg or Cologne. In the Benelux countries maybe Belgium with its Sportpaleis or ING Arena. Malmö with its arena instead of Stockholm. Could go on and on ...

I know the Black Keys and QOTSA played some hall in Luxembourg this year. Sign me up for that. Can we all just submit a list of countries in Europe we have not visited?
