    Hahaha.....actually if he doesn't get the speaker job, he should pull another Costanza and just show up the following Monday hoping everyone else will just assume he's speaker. And if all else fails, he should spike Matt Gaetz's drink.

    If Dems bail them out McCarthy will not stick to any promises.  That would be the stupidest thing they could do, opening the door for impeachment and Huter's lap top...and who knows what other hijinks.  Let the Rs sort out their own mess.

    If he did not follow his promises, then the D's could call for a new House speaker and start all over again.  Remember that's a concession already extracted, moving the number to five members vs a majority for a no confidence type of vote.  The D's would absolutely protect themselves that way.
