    **** UPDATED 01/16/2023 ****

So, after some digging, I'm switching things up a little for V.2. Putting a heavy focus on timing, venue availability (primarily ASM venues), and the off-chance we actually get some good governors in Texas & Florida.
As before, if this isn't the plan, consider it a pitch

Prospective 2023 Tour Leg 1, V.2 (aka "I see by your outfit, that you are a cowboy.")

    1. Laredo, TX - Sames Auto Arena (formerly Laredo Energy Arena) ASM Global
    current open dates: 04/02 - 04/18, and 04/20 - 05/11/23
    - Dark horse pick! Old city, and it's just up the road from Monterrey. Great spot for a warm-up show (and a country cover).
    2. San Antonio, TX - AT&T Center, ASM Global
    current open dates: 04/05 - 05/12/23
    - A GIANT venue. About 19,000 can fit in here, and PJ could most DEFINITELY sell it out. Like Miami, tons of money to be made & a happy promoter. Many big concert, wrestling & MMA events have been held here, but the most interesting one is that it was site of Black Sabbath's final U.S. show ever. Maybe we get a full War Pigs cover??
    3. Austin, TX - Germania Ampitheatre (14,000+, outdoors), or H-E-B Center, 8.700 + GA, ASM Global
    current open dates, Ampitheatre: 04/07 - 05/14/23
    current open dates, H-E-B Center: 04/07 - 04/10, 04/14, and 04/17 - 05/13/23
    - Would love another ACL taping, but the band has some options on the way to...

    4. Dallas, TX  -  American Airlines Center (21,000+!), or Dos Equis Pavilion, 20,000+ GA, played there 20 yrs ago
    current open dates, arena: 04/10 - 04/12, 04/14 - 05/04, and 05/06 - 05/11/23
    current open dates, pavilion: 04/06 - 05/05, and 05/07 - 05/12/23
    - A little out of the way, but look at the capacity! The band would sell out Dallas. Easy.

    5. Houston, TX  -  NRG Arena, ASM Global
    current open dates, arena: 04/08 - 04/13, 04/17 - 04/20, 04/24 - 04/28, and 04/30 - 05/12/23
    - If they go to Texas, this will be THE show. Bank on it.

    6. New Orleans, LA - Smoothie King Center, (No Jazz Festival this year)
    current open dates, Smoothie King Center: 04/02 & 04/03, and 04/09 - 05/12/23

    7. Pensacola, FL - Pensacola Bay Center, or Mobile, AL - Mobile Civic Center, both ASM Global, around 10,000+ ea.
    current open dates, Pensacola: 04/01 - 04/06, 04/10 - 04/14, 04/16 & 04/17, and 04/19 - 05/12/23
    current open dates, Mobile: 04/01 - 04/05, 04/08 - 04/13, and 04/16 - 05/13/23
    - I just like picking a Moline, or a Fresno lol. Jeff does, too!

    8. Jacksonville, FL - Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, ASM Global
    current open dates: 04/03 - 04/06, 04/09 - 04/15, 04/17 - 04/28, 04/30 - 05/03, and 05/05 - 05/14/23
    - another 2016 stop, and a good place for an off-beat show

    9. Orlando, FL -  Amway Center (hey, it's on the way) - last tour stop in Orlando was a private show at the House of Blues in 2003
    current open dates, Amway Center: 04/07 - 04/13, 04/15 - 04/18, 04/20 - 04/27, and 04/29 - 05/15/23
    House of Blues, Lake Buena Vista: 04/09 - 04/11, 04/13, 04/16 - 04/19, 04/21 - 04/25, 04/27, 04/29- 05/04, and 05/06 - 05/12/23
-- all other venues have an open schedule --

    - Orlando is the most progressive city in Florida, and even though the Amway Center is owned by the DeVos family, I'd love to see them play there & just absolutely trash them (and Amway itself, lol). Other possible venues:
    • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (Lake Buena Vista) - capacity; 7,500 seats, 3,000-3,500 field capacity = 10,500-11,000 (Invictus Games)
    • Addition Financial Arena (UCF) - capacity: 9,400
    • Silver Spurs Arena (Kissimmee) - capacity: 8,000 (site of their VFC concert in 2004, also part of the ASM Global network)
    • House of Blues Orlando (Lake Buena Vista, 10C show?) - capacity: 2,500+ (site of their exclusive show that streamed 20 years ago on RealPlayer, live in 2003)

    10. Tampa, FL - Amalie Arena (formerly St. Pete Times Forum) tour stop for 22+ years, always a classic.
    current open dates: 04/09 & 04/10, 04/12, 04/14 - 04/20, 04/22 - 04/29/23, and 05/01 - 05/15/23
    - Miami might bring the heat, but the best setlists in Florida happen in Tampa. Recently booked events: NCAA basketball, 98 Rockfest & New Edition. PJ. Loves. Tampa.

    11. Ft. Lauderdale, FL - FLA Live Arena (formerly BB&T Center)
    current open dates: 04/07 - 04/09, 04/11 & 04/12, 04/14 - 05/17/23
    - FtL could be the penultimate spot, before Miami... but have they completely written off West Palm Beach??

    12. Miami, FL - FTX Arena (formerly American Airlines Arena), ASM Global
    current open dates: 04/04 - 04/08, 04/10 - 04/28, 04/30 - 05/20/23
    - Miami would make a hell of an end-of-leg party! (unfortunate venue name, tho lol)

    :end of Leg 1:

    Thoughts??

Just an add-on to V.2, here. Time for a little 2018-style action! A little earlier than usual, but there's a 2 week period in June that the band could knock out a couple 2-nighters at some ballparks (and still do 1, or 2 later in the year).

    Citizens Bank Park - possible 2 night-stand:
    • Thu. June 01 & Sat. June 03
    Yankee Stadium - possible 2 night-stand:
    • Thu. June 01 & Sat. June 03
    Camden Yards possible 2 night-stands:
    • Thu. June 01 & Sat. June 03
    • Fri. June 02 & Sun. June 04
    • Sat. June 03 & Mon. June 05
    • Sun. June 04 & Tue. June 06
    • Mon. June 05 & Wed. June 07
    Wrigley Fieldpossible 2 night-stands:
    • Thu. June 01 & Sat. June 03

    • Sat. June 03 & Mon. June 05
    • Sun. June 04 & Tue. June 06

    • Tue. June 06 & Thu. June 08
    • Wed. June 07 & Fri. June 09

So, with that in mind, if they could pull it off, which of these would you rather see:
    1. Citizens Bank Park - Thu. June 01 & Sat. June 03
    2. Wrigley Field - Thu. June 08 & Sat. June 10
    or

Us as well. We saw The Dead at Soldier Field in 2015 during their 50th anniversary shows. Would love to see PJ there and stay downtown for doing other things too.

If I remember correctly, the Fieldhouse tends to use whatever ticketing service Dan Gilbert is invested in at the moment as opposed to Ticketmaster, so Fan club and Fan to Fan seats might not be an option there

I’m thinking more where the CBJ play.  If there only one Ohio show it makes sense for Columbus to be the location.

You’re right, forget that idea. Two nights at the United Center, WAY better. Enough with the ballparks, four at Fenway, five at Wrigley, that’s good. Leave the stadium shows for sheeran, swift, and styles. Packed arenas are the shit……..

  • Not sure if this has been posted already but I was just listening to the Denver boot and raised my interest when Ed said they’d love to play Red Rocks.

I've always want to go to Red Rocks and that would give me a good reason to do so.   I have always wondered about the logistics. Red Rocks is a moderately small venue (about 10k people).  I don't suspect PJ would want to do a residency there, so that tickets might be superhard to come by.

Went there this summer for the first time to see MMJ.  Logistics are easy other than the lining up to get in for GA seating. The locals have the routine down and it was a mad dash for seats. Great venue though. Would love to see PJ there.
  • U2 is opening the new MSG Sphere in Las Vegas with a residency.  Does anyone believe that PJ would do a residency in Vegas (or anywhere for that matter)?
