You’re right, forget that idea. Two nights at the United Center, WAY better. Enough with the ballparks, four at Fenway, five at Wrigley, that’s good. Leave the stadium shows for sheeran, swift, and styles. Packed arenas are the shit……..

I've always want to go to Red Rocks and that would give me a good reason to do so.   I have always wondered about the logistics. Red Rocks is a moderately small venue (about 10k people).  I don't suspect PJ would want to do a residency there, so that tickets might be superhard to come by.

Went there this summer for the first time to see MMJ.  Logistics are easy other than the lining up to get in for GA seating. The locals have the routine down and it was a mad dash for seats. Great venue though. Would love to see PJ there.

U2 is opening the new MSG Sphere in Las Vegas with a residency.  Does anyone believe that PJ would do a residency in Vegas (or anywhere for that matter)?

Seriously F* you covid, international markets or whatever the f'n reason it is for PJ placing an Australian/NZ tour on the back burner for what will now be more than 10 years.  EV's announcement for Feb effectively nails the coffin for a AU/NZ 23 tour I think. Hope again builds for late 23? or beyond....maybe never again.

Prospective 2023 Tour Leg 1, V.2 (aka "I see by your outfit, that you are a cowboy.")

1. Laredo, TX - Sames Auto Arena (formerly Laredo Energy Arena) ASM Global
current open dates: 04/02 - 04/18, and 04/20 - 05/11/23
- Dark horse pick! Old city, and it's just up the road from Monterrey. Great spot for a warm-up show (and a country cover).

2. San Antonio, TX - AT&T Center, ASM Global

current open dates: 04/05 - 05/12/23
- A GIANT venue. About 19,000 can fit in here, and PJ could most DEFINITELY sell it out. Like Miami, tons of money to be made & a happy promoter. Many big concert, wrestling & MMA events have been held here, but the most interesting one is that it was site of Black Sabbath's final U.S. show ever. Maybe we get a full War Pigs cover??

3. Austin, TX - Germania Ampitheatre (14,000+, outdoors), or H-E-B Center, 8.700 + GA, ASM Global

current open dates, Ampitheatre: 04/07 - 05/14/23
current open dates, H-E-B Center: 04/07 - 04/10, 04/14, and 04/17 - 05/13/23
- Would love another ACL taping, but the band has some options on the way to...

4. Dallas, TX  -  American Airlines Center (21,000+!), or Dos Equis Pavilion, 20,000+ GA, played there 20 yrs ago
current open dates, arena: 04/10 - 04/12, 04/14 - 05/04, and 05/06 - 05/11/23

- A little out of the way, but look at the capacity! The band would sell out Dallas. Easy.

5. Houston, TX  -  NRG Arena, ASM Global
current open dates, arena: 04/08 - 04/13, 04/17 - 04/20, 04/24 - 04/28, and 04/30 - 05/12/23
- If they go to Texas, this will be THE show. Bank on it.

6. New Orleans, LA - Smoothie King Center, (No Jazz Festival this year)

current open dates, Smoothie King Center: 04/02 & 04/03, and 04/09 - 05/12/23

7. Pensacola, FL - Pensacola Bay Center, or Mobile, AL - Mobile Civic Center, both ASM Global, around 10,000+ ea.

- Orlando is the most progressive city in Florida, and even though the Amway Center is owned by the DeVos family, I'd love to see them play there & just absolutely trash them (and Amway itself, lol). Other possible venues:

• ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (Lake Buena Vista) - capacity; 7,500 seats, 3,000-3,500 field capacity = 10,500-11,000 (Invictus Games)
  
• Addition Financial Arena (UCF) - capacity: 9,400
• Silver Spurs Arena (Kissimmee) - capacity: 8,000 (site of their VFC concert in 2004, also part of the ASM Global network)

current open dates: 04/07 - 04/09, 04/11 & 04/12, 04/14 - 05/17/23
- FtL could be the penultimate spot, before Miami... but have they completely written off West Palm Beach??

12. Miami, FL - FTX Arena (formerly American Airlines Arena), ASM Global

- Miami would make a hell of an end-of-leg party! (unfortunate venue name, tho lol)

Gonna put the June speculation for ballparks on the backburner. The Dead & Co. have gobbled up any potential June ball park dates, save for Seattle. Also factoring in already-announced dates for Blink, The Dead, Matchbox 20 & Shania Twain.

SO... coming in hot with what I think would make a good Leg 2, if the above makes up Leg 1.

Prospective 2023 Tour Leg 2, V.2 (aka "Looking for Par'mach in all the Right Places")

0. Nashville, TN - The Ryman Auditorium (10c exclusive - dear 10c, please make this happen)
current open dates: all of Aug. & Sept.
- Ed's played there solo, and made a offhand comment during the Nashville show about the boys playing there. I say book it & offer it up just for the 10c! Added as a special show option, then onto to the actual tour.

1. Noblesville, IN - Ruoff Music Center (formerly Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Indiana), last played in 2010
current open dates: 07/15 - 08/04, 08/06 - 09/30/23
- Popular outdoor spot on the way to... Ohio?!

2. Columbus, OH - Nationwide Arena, or Cincinnati, OH - Riverbend Music Center (capacity = 20,500)
current open dates, both venues: all of Aug. & early Sept.
- Been a minute since the band hit Ohio. They could fill up either of these cities easy. If they went to Cincin, I could see them bypassing Noblesville & Indiana all together. The traffic sucks in Indianapolis.

3. Pittsburgh, PA - PPG Paints Arena (formerly Consol Energy Center)
current open dates: 07/15 - 08/25, 08/27 - 09/30/23
- Been 10 yrs since their last show here & this bad boy:

4.(and 5?). Baltimore, MD - Oriole Park at Camden Yards, or CFG Bank Arena (formerly Royal Farms Arena)

- I don't know about the bands logistics for arena rigs & ballpark rigs, but I know most bands can split up their operation, or store trucks in advance & knock out a few shows in between larger venues. This is all armchair fan booking, but whatever helps you plan your days off, lol.

6. Philadelphia, PA - Citizens Bank Park, or Wells Fargo Center (2? or just a single like MSG '22)
current open dates. CBP: 08/01 & 08/03, 08/14 - 08/19, 09/29 & 10/01/23
current open dates, Wells Fargo: all of Aug. & Sept.- gotta play two!

- As stated in V.1, the band agreeing to PJ day at Yankee Stadium before Apollo shows that there's a working relationship in place. If not, then they still have a great relationship w/Jay-Z for the Barclays Center AND it's run by ASM Global. There will never be a lack of demand for PJ in NYC.

9. Hartford, CT - Xfinity Center Ampitheatre (formerly Dodge Music Center), or XL Center (formerly the Hartford Civic Center)
current open dates: all of Aug. & Sept.
- Been 10 years. Everyone's chompin' at the bit for a return to Fartford! (it wasn't Ed, it was smelly when they got there).

10. Providence, RI - Amica Mutual Pavilion (ASM Global)
current open dates: all of Aug. & Sept.
- Dark horse pick! Another ASM venue, in what would would make for a loose & lively show in a city they haven't played since 1991! ($5 at the door, with opening acts Medicine Ball & Glazed Baby; 18+, no re-entry)

11 (and 12?). Boston, MA - Fenway Park (2 nights), or TD Garden (home of the Celtics, 2 nights)
current open Fenway dates: 08/01 & 08/03, 08/14/23 - 08/24/23, 09/28 - 10/01/23
current open TD Garden dates: all of August, first week of Sept
- 2 nights, any way you slice it.

Again, this is all just spitballing. Trying to mix in the band's biggest moneymakers, with a few old favorites & off-the-beaten path picks. Thoughts?

Just had an epiphany: what if you flip Leg 1, they start in Miami/FtL (like 2016), make their way to San Antonio, back track up to Dallas, end of Leg 1 & store the gear in TX, or Nash. Then after the break, we get a sweet exclusive show at the Ryman ($10 tix, $100 tix, free - whatever), ditch Noblesville, play Cincinnati, with Leg 2 as listed above?

As a long time Vegas resident, I would place $$ on them eventually accepting the bag and doing the residency. The fans travel and fill all those MGM hotel rooms (which is pretty much all that matters in Vegas).

I know nothing, and I hope that every PJ fan around the world gets the shot at seeing AT LEAST one more show, always and forever. BUT. Given that the band hasn't even played the majority of major US markets since 2016, and they aren't getting younger, and the costs of touring are insanely high now and probably not getting cheaper and and and...I wouldn't hold my breath for any PJ shows outside of North America, South America, and Europe.

I love the band, and I believe they can draw more than they think they can. But ain't nobody on their level going up again Taylor Swift on these dates. Maybe small venues & relatively down-to-Earth bands, but T. Swift is gonna be the hottest ticket in the country.

Thankfully, it doesn't really affect the runs I've mapped out by that much! Just 5, or 6 pieces to remove from a very large Stratego board.

they havent legitimately (non-festival show, only one 2012) played Atlanta since 2003. If they do not play next year in atlanta i will be shocked. i have a feeling. not playing in atlanta for so long leads me to believe they could fill a very large venue in atlanta. either braves or i hope not, mercedes. i prefer a lakewood or statefarm arena show.

I'd be fine with GA State Stadium (old Turner Field) or GA Tech as well regarding Atlanta stadiums.  Foos did a great show at GA State a few years ago.

Maybe around her 1st couple albums, but since Red, she fills arenas. I legit dig her stuff since 1989, and she (and her audience) just keeps getting bigger. 

Factor in the casual PJ fans who want to hear E-flow, Better Man & Y Led, there's a surprising overlap (even if we're just talking about resources like venue staffing, police presence, and catering).
