Tool had several sold out shows on their tour and a few upcoming are sold out with others getting close. Arenas are selling out for the good shows.bootlegger10 said:
They can when the tickets are already sold. There will be some refunds obviously but I wonder if arena shows are even selling out these days.Weston1283 said:

If the Tour starts May 1st or that week, we are just about at the 3 month out mark. I don't see how they can wait much longer than that to announce this thing...
No rumors on prospective dates to me means this is pretty far away from announcement. I really hope it is before March though as I don't even live in the same part of the country.0 -

I see people's points about past tours being announced only 6-7 weeks from shows. And I also see that people saying tickets having already been sold means they need less time (less ticket to sell).
My opinion is different. I bought concert tickets 2 years ago....I would hope that they would grant me the respect of having as much lead time as possible in order to determine if I can still make it. I also understand the the uncertainty of everything messes with timelines. But still....Been waiting 2 years. I understand why, but please give me the time needed to be able to get to the concerts.hippiemom = goodness0 -
I agree... this scenario is complete different than a regular tour.....please, release the dates !cincybearcat said:I see people's points about past tours being announced only 6-7 weeks from shows. agree 100%. Sorry if this has been already discussed, but, at this point, you have loyal fans who have clung to their tickets for nearly two years now, and the "regular rules" about date announcements really shouldn't apply. They've already announced their intentions to play in the spring, so I honestly don't understand the hesitation in announcing the dates sooner rather than later to allow people to plan around those dates. Unless there are things happening behind the scenes that prevent such an announcement, I really see the delay as a disservice to their loyal fans.cincybearcat said:I see people's points about past tours being announced only 6-7 weeks from shows. If they are playing Wrigley and Fenway this summer those shows are usually announced in January.Ryan said:

Their intention to play this spring (May) was announced in November pre omicron. They’re probably reassessing based on how the solo tour is going to go.wsimon74 said:

I agree. If we have to wait until early March to get these May dates I'm going to be pretty annoyed. I'm not one to get annoyed at short tour dates announcements but I've been holding out for 2 years now and will need to schedule vacation , book a hotel and a flight for the show I am going to. I'll make it work whenever it gets announced but for a rescheduled date sooner is better than later.cincybearcat said:I see people's points about past tours being announced only 6-7 weeks from shows. Considering how TM is treating the EV + Earthlings ticket sales, you may not want the dates announced and tickets purchased unless you are 100% committed to going.
I hope 10c is fighting TM in the background. One can dream.DC '03 - Reading '04 - Philly '05 - Camden 1 '06 - DC '06 - E. Red Sox are away September 5th-12th and 19th-26th. Aerosmith is scheduled for 9/8 and RHCP on 9/10.

Looking at the Sox schedule, they have a couple of 6 game road trips. They are away Sep 5-12 and again from Sep 19-26. The weekends fall on 9/9-10 and 9/23-24 but they have a home game 2 days after both which would not be ideal.nalyd61 said:on a positive note, I heard again today that they have 2 dates (on hold) at Fenway in September. reliable source I believe.0 -
I don’t know why they don’t announce the dates. What is going on with Omnicron will not be what affects the shows in May. Could there be another variant that does? Yes. But there is no way of knowing that. Just my 2 cents.0

August 15-22 is another potential window as Fenway just announced a show for August 18, so the stage will be upchukdotcom said:

Agree re F2F.Weston1283 said:Well, today was my prediction for announcement, but its not feeling like its going to be the day
Really hoping for something in the next few weeks.
It also still feels highly strange and wrong that they haven't opened up EV Fan to Fan considering the shows start in 10 days.
I’m predicting next Monday 1/31 as the PJ news day.
You're doing it wrong. These guesses are not falling on a Tuesday.

If September is a go for Fenway you have to think they do the Sep 5-7th labour day dates again. A couple of questions though can they get it up and ready on the 5th even with a day game the day before on the 4th or do they do a back to back finally at the ballpark shows and hit the 6th and 7th and Aerosmith has the 8th and RHCP the 10th. Would not be the first time they did 3 shows in a row at Fenway.Weston1283 said:

At the festivals this summer, Eddie made multiple comments on stage to the effect of: we committed to these shows several months ago, in the interim the pandemic conditions worsened, we don’t feel great about doing this now but just hope that everyone will do their best to be safe.link93 said:I don’t know why they don’t announce the dates. Just my 2 cents.Having had that experience, my guess is that they want to wait until as close as possible before announcing dates so that they’re doing so with the best information. You can agree or disagree with whether that’s the right thing to do, but I hint it’s what they’re doing. The EV tour was announced two months in advance, and I think that’s probably about what we should expect for rescheduled PJ dates.
