I guess there's no necessity to change plans as long as we continue to gobble up the merch goods. Where do they manufacture these things? China?vedpunk said:Now we know why they didn't add any shows this year around the festivals.....They just released the Pearl Jam Funk Pop! Figure set instead.www.twitter.com/robert_harbin0 -
And I'm guilty of being an enabler by purchasing the figure set myself. lolNoload said:

2021 would have been the PJ30 tourLost In Ohio said:Weston1283 said:
I would say more like last 6-7 yearsiOnlyownMymind said:Watching the years tick by with so few shows in general doesn't bode well for very many areas besides the "go to's". Just kinda sad how the last 10 years have gone from a touring stand point. Hope Ed's voice still holds up strong for 2022 and beyond.
2013 was an incredible Pearl Jam year - new album, tons of shows, two destination events middle of the year. They then followed up with the 2014 Tour which was another good one
But as soon as that 2014 USA tour finished, something happened and it’s never been the same sinceRatherStarved said:They played a reasonable number of shows in 16 and 18 and would have played a bunch in 20 if not for the plague.
I agree with RatherStarved.
2015 and 2017 were weird years with Global Citizen being the only USA (global?) show that year and Chris dying in what probably would have been a big year for Soundgarden. If Soundgarden has that big year, 2017 is understood as lost for Pearl Jam stuff.
Remember that album that Can't Deny Me was supposed to be on? It was teased in early 2018. Let's assume that the album was being written throughout much of the later part of 2017...but that might be bad thinking due to the comments made at Fenway about not touring for a while and "back to the studio" and all that. I still strongly believe that they had something almost ready to go for a late 2018 release and a huge tour in 2019, similar to what happened with Riot Act...but then the reset button was smashed hard.
Here's my guess about what could have happened, if not for fate. Events not necessarily in order. Predictions for the last two years are more blurry than predictions for the earlier years.
2017:
Mike releases his book.
Eddie solo tour through Europe.
Soundgarden has a big year.
The members of Pearl Jam take a year off from each other.
Maybe some Jeff side project stuff.
2018:
South American tourAlbum (not Gigaton) comes out while touring Europe. Can't Deny Me is the lead single.
USA tour. Not Home/Away, but maybe ending with The Home Shows in Seattle.
2019:
More USA dates
Dates in the southern hemisphere.
2020:
??????
Eddie solo stuff?
2021:
Possible year off. Maybe Eddie back in Europe.1996.....Toronto

When it comes out, will it be big, bold and free?
But you're completely right. Until we get an official answer, I'll believe it was scrapped. Maybe some stuff from those sessions landed on Gigaton, maybe not.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
How about Lost Dogs 2, or maybe a reissue of Lost Dogs on vinyl with a couple of extra discs with bunch of the B sides recorded since the first one?Lost In Ohio said:JimmyV said:What happened to the forthcoming album produced by Brendan O'Brien and containing Can't Deny Me is a fascinating question that we will likely never get an answer to.

Already was mentioned that sounds like Canadian leg in Feb/Mar but noticed something when looking through TM that they have postponed shows listed in that timeframe. The interesting part was when they had them posted.2022QC between Mar 6 & 24
Ottawa between Feb 24 & Mar 18
Toronto between Mar 14 & 18
Hamilton between Mar 5 & Mar 8
2020 dates were
Toronto Mar 18
Ottawa Mar 20
QC Mar 22
Hamilton Mar 242018 - 8/8, 8/10
2016 - 5/5, 5/8, 5/10, 5/12, 8/5, 8/7
2014 - 6/28, 6/29
2013 - 10/12, 11/24
2011 - 9/14
2005 - 9/160 -
When they were planning the 2020 tour I think Jeff said they were going to Albany to rehearse prior to the Toronto show.
Starting the tour in Quebec or Hamilton could make sense because neither arena has NBA or NHL teams so they could rehearse in the same city the tour is starting in.
Either way, this tour could have a lot of hopping around NA as February and March have both hockey and basketball along with rescheduled concerts by other artists. This may a difficult tour for fans to travel.Post edited by uglybabo on0 -

The vaccinated show only model is clearly safe. Even for traveling fans, most of them if not all should have had a chance to get it by November, eliminating any issues of international fans2010: Cleveland

How about some good news for those of us in the Midwest? A show on each coast after the school year starts is a tough sell for a teacher’s husband to try to pull off.Post edited by JeBurkhardt on0
