Just some turkey cutlets, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and rolls with Roadhouse butter for us here this Christmas.  Keeping it low key.
Cookies and candy though, plenty of that going on.

My mom gave me the family heirloom cast iron skillet!  Woot!
It was originally my Great Grandmother's, and now it's mine to make perfect juicy burgers with a nice crust of Lawry's seasoned salt.
I got an immersion cooker for Christmas too, so I look forward to doing some pork chops to a perfect 140 and then getting that sear you can only get with cast iron.

That looks delicious - blue cheese, or ranch? I am partial to blue cheese, but it's all good.

Kids asked for blue cheese.  I let the sauce do the talking, no dressing for me.

My favorite!  Looks great. We were just talking about getting an air fryer. I think this seals the deal for me. Nice wahlburgers glass too ;)

Only time the ranch might get a hit is if the sauce is too much.
    Otherwise, I agree.

Intell you what, wahlburgers was really really good! (My wife is a huge Donnie fan, it was the first place we went after checking in)

Agree the burgers are solid. I also went there for the first time in Boston 2018 while seeing some band.  They opened one a couple towns over, 20 minutes from where I live. Donnie lives in that town (St Charles, IL).

Air fryer wings are damn good!  Crispy skin and tender flesh! The smell in the house??
    Not so awesome.

I worked a kitchen/dining hall that served 400-600 people (all at once) 3 meals a day.  Wednesday night was baked chicken parts in huge aluminum trays...  The smell of that much chicken grease was overpowering enough, but one day I had a huge garbage bag full of the trays and leftover parts break open while I was tossing them up into a dumpster and I got covered in chicken grease...I didn't vomit, but ever since then, it's been one of my least favorite smells lol

I still do wings, but usually only when I can vent the house well.

And one for Chadwick (RIP) of when the turkey hash meets its best buddy, the over-easy egg.

Sounds like a solid menu! Definitely going to be a weird NYE for a lot of folks but sounds like you guys are making the best of it.

Doing Chinese tonight (wife's request), which we haven't done on NYE in years. Prime filet's for wife & son tomorrow, tomahawk to ring in the new year for me.
