    A woman in Örebro County who was infected with covid-19 is now being prosecuted for causing danger to others. This is since she went to work last spring despite waiting for a test result for the disease.

    The woman worked in elderly care in a municipality in the county. This spring, she had tested herself for covid-19, but went to work before the test result came. She stated to her employer that she was not infected, but when the answer came it was clear that she had covid-19.

    According to the indictment, which P4 Örebro was the first to report on, the woman managed to meet nine care recipients who were in the risk group and nine colleagues. Through her actions, she has exposed these people to danger to life or danger of serious illness, according to the prosecutor.

    This spring, the woman had to end her employment with immediate effect. She denies any wrongdoing. If convicted, she faces up to two years in prison.

    Yeah I went to employee healthcare when my daughter told us her boss had tested positive! I didn’t want to take any chances wanna follow protocol on this virus my daughter tested negative..
