My kid started the after Halloween tradition. And like so many of my parenting decisions, I said YES! (Why not?)

Fuckme, that reminds me of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck!

My after-Halloween tradition was eating candy.  Of course, that was done by November 2.

Mmm. I used to love boxes of oyster, wooden table to shuck and suck on, paired with Guinness at a rustic winter camp out tradition back East.

I haven't dined out often this year, but when I did it was oysters on the half-shell all the way.

    I'll have what she's having....

    Go vegan.

Would help the world more than being in the paris accord.

    And no more covids.

    Yay.

I usually just go with a mignonette for oysters, but that sounds good!

You're reasoning is starting to sink in, my friend.

When you threw that out there in the Indigenous thread, my first instinct was that vegan went against our traditions. The old school ones where men would come home from hunt and families would celebrate and dance. (We taught kids this native dance last winter where the boys sneak and hunt and dance in the outer ring from the girls.)

But if women can bring home the bacon, we certainly can further change that to bringing home the plant based meat.

But, we love, learn, adapt, grow, and change.

Thanks again for planting the seed.

Again with the chiding of meat-eaters...

Anyway, we sure as shit won't be braving the store to pick up a "homemade" Thanksgiving meal as we did last year.  And I sure as shit won't be cooking!

We'll probably just wing it.  Haha.

I really miss my sister's Thanksgiving meals.  She goes all out, everything made from scratch, everything kick-ass.  Been well over a year since I've seen her, and she lives only an hour away :bawling:

The only thing better than oysters and cold beer IMO is oysters & champagne I might just get a bottle of Dom Perignon I’d feel guilty doing it but damn it’s so good 😊
