I would never blame conservatives for all of our environmental issue, especially global warming. But the fact remains, conservatives and Republicans have proven themselves in general to be far more lax about supporting environmental protection legislation and far more prone to being climate change deniers than liberals and Democrats are. There's no arguing this point. That kind of opposition to environmental protection is why the map in the link below looks like it does. And anyone thinking, "Oh well, at least it's in that "liberal state", I don't need to worry about it," guess again.

Was just wondering as here in the UK I tend to find most groups of work colleagues, friends etc are a complete mix of left wing Labour supporters and right wing Tory supporters. Aware though that politics in the US are completely different to over here. In UK terms the current US regime would really be extreme right.

Should imagine that like the Uk a lot of PJ fans are too embarrassed to say in public they won’t be voting for the socialist due to peer pressure and will vote differently in the polling booth.

I’m confused on the wording. Not your wording 2legs...like is this guy saying we have a socialist candidate, or is he saying they have a socialist candidate in the U.K. and Biden is like a socialist candidate. Are the socialists in the room with us now?

I totally agree. I've never worn ANY political clothing, sticker or pin. I will wear I VOTED pin or sticker but nothing with a politician's name etc.

I live in the UK so my opinion on these matters is probably moot, but I would love to hear a rational reason why anyone would vote for Trump? Conservative or not.

If it's a case of not wanting Biden to win, I understand that as he isn't a strong candidate, but if we are talking the lesser of two evils then how anyone can pick Trump over Biden blows my mind.

I read a lot and know a lot about world affairs and I am always keen to learn from people who's ideas/politics differ from mine. Thats what makes the world an interesting place, right?

So please, can someone explain why they would vote for Trump? I won't attack you or argue, I just want to understand.

Yes we all understand how taxes work. You clearly do not.

Capitalism requires a redistribution of wealth. Income inequality shows you exactly why the wealthy should be taxed higher. They would actually benefit more from that then accumulating wealth that they will never be able to use.

Our two party system has devolved into simply picking a team. The GOP created its own news network and its own narratives to convince people (mostly poor and uneducated) to vote for their team. tRump is their quarterback. That's all they know....they don't give a shit what his policies are they just know that he's a republican and they are republicans. Therefore, they will vote for him regardless of what he does.

It's pathetic.

Why would you vote for Trump?

I asked this before and haven't heard from a Trump supporter. To me there are like 50 things that he has done or said that make him the most corrupt and brutal leader in your country's history... (To that point, if the guys in PJ feel the same way, I think they don't care about disrespecting Trump supporters and can do without your money. IMO)

But as a supporter... do you not understand why he is the most corrupt and brutal leader? And if there are 50 bad things.. what are the good things? Like what do you honestly see in this guy that makes you want to get up and vote for him?

Put another on your list ...that is me! I don't think we should elect anyone who has to serve in their 80s....that is brutal. I don't like Biden much, but I do think he will want to help our country.
Trump wants to help old, rich, white people. (And women as long as they will shut up can be considered people. Otherwise ...just rich white men)
The lower economic class folks who staunchly support Trump don't understand that. They buy his flag and bible waving stunts. Also they buy that he is law and order. He is only doing that for votes and to protect the rich. He doesn't care about police or military....he considers them chumps instead of heroes.
