So, will we ever return to our 'normal' lives? If so, when?josevolution said:https://apple.news/Ayhzs_XJzRJeCPkeRuY9GBg

Geez. Awful. A lot of people seem to be taking this lightly until it hits home like that. Not surprised many have the “it won’t happen to me” mindset or “I’m young and healthy so I’m safe.” I heard local bars were slammed yesterday for St Patrick’s Day. I think the most responsible and generous thing everyone can do is stay away from others as much as possible. Doesn’t matter if you’re young and healthy. The person you can give it to may not be. The whole thing blows, but it’s the harsh reality we’re faced with.mcgruff10 said:My old next door neighbor s sister just passed away from this. Ugh0 -

Drove past the a couple shopping malls and other retail areas earlier. Parking lots were packed with cars. Guess staying home for a few days is just too much for some people.
took my family to a nature preserve for a nice walk instead. Nobody else was there.0 -
Went to the store to get more food. Should be good for a couple weeks. Feel like I should go back for more.

I totally agree, b. I'm trying hard to convince my wife to shut down the bookstore for awhile. I'm working as few hours as possible myself. I have to go in for a few hours this afternoon but will keep my distance from others as much as I can and then no work until Wednesday- or maybe not, if I can convince my wife and her business partner that it's not worth the risk. Tough decisions to be made these days!bbiggs said:

My phrasing could have been better, but there is significant difference between going to a large, urban mall or shopping center and a 1,000+ acre, outdoor woodland area where the only potential congregation area is a 10 car parking lot. That whole social distancing thing.cincybearcat said:

Grocery store is practically a ghost town here. Plenty of everything. Way to go neighborhood, lol. The cashier said it was busier in the morning, but nothing got cleaned out. I guess the panic buyers got it out of their systems.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Ohio Governor Dewine has declared a partial shutdown of all bars and restaurants. Take-out and delivery not prohibited, but dine-in service will no longer be allowed.
