    So the late entrant that has pulled into 4th place should not be on the debate stage? I understand the rules but the fact that Bloomberg implies that asking for donations to him is absurd should prevent voters from hearing what he has to say?

    Huge money in politics is absurd and so is a billionaire running the country. But until we can amend the constitution from the ills of citizens united big money runs politics. The Dems can either accept this and  fight on equal footing or lose elections. Bloomberg’s biggest problem is he is not of an evangelical tangential religion, if that makes any sense. And middle America has its own thoughts on that.

    Ballot access would be the biggest hurdle for him. He'd have to dedicate a lot of resources to what is a state-by-state approach. Mostly because I can't think of an existing party already doing that work who would welcome him as their candidate.
