So San Diego LA X2 San Fran and Oakland?
They aren’t gonna play Oakland and San Fran.   There’s likely 2 x Oakland.
We thought the same about Miami and West Palm Beach in 2016.
Didn't the Golden State Warriors just build their new arena in San Fran? Why play in that old arena in Oakland when you can play in the new one in San Fran? Scheduling?
    Milwaukee 2014
    MSG 2016 1&2
    Wrigley 2016 1&2

    Eddie Vedder Louisville, KY 2017

Because it’s roaracle, it’s special to us Bay Area people. I’d prefer oracle to chase center. Also it’s probably cheaper to book.

Maybe a stop in the desert for Coachella? Jump on stage with RATM.
Am I the only one thinking they might be playing Coachella as far-fetched as it sounds?  The timing in Los Angeles lines up with both weekends of the festival and the announcement almost coincides with the lineup drop......

Anaheim is many things, but Los Angeles, it is not.
Anaheim/LA isnt even remotely the same as Brooklyn/NYC.  It's more like Inglewood/LA and inglewood is la and Brooklyn is NYC.
Except of  course Brooklyn is NYC, and Inglewood is NOT L.A.
Brooklyn by itself would be the 4th largest city in America. In comparison, Is Inglewood even on a map? Did they get running water yet?

Queens by itself, 5th largest. And those are two cities right next to NY.

once Cali gets its well deserved shows (NY metro/ Acela corridor has never seen a run like this per capita) which city has the biggest per capita  concert shortage, besides Moncton?
Gotta be Montreal at 4M people and 8 years without PJ
Nah the winner is Houston by a mile. 6.5 million people no show since 2003.

Is the Oracle easy to get to from downtown SF?
I have done some preliminary research on the BART but haven’t looked into the details.

Yep. Just hop on Dublin/Pleasanton Bart train and it drops you off right in front.

Coachella, run by AEG, has strict contractual rules about acts playing in a certain mileage proximity in weeks around/during fest.

Excellent point although you likely meant to say Miami and Ft. Lauderdale?
As well, neither arena was available for multiple dates. And technically, Sunrise, FL.
  • Just to play devil's advocate, one of the long rumored headliners for Coachella who was part of the group "confirmed" by Us Weekly was Frank Ocean. Dude is notorious for canceling gigs. So it could be possible that he already backed out and maybe GV/AEG reached out to PJ to be his replacement. It could be possible that GV/AEG worked with PJ to still let them play shows in Southern California surrounding Coachella since they needed a sudden replacement headliner. A similar situation happened this year when they needed a last minute replacement before the lineup announcement when Kanye canceled. They booked Ariana even though she already had multiple LA shows booked for May. So while it's highly, highly unlikely they will be on the Coachella poster when it drops this week, it also isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility.

I'll believe Frank Ocean when he actually walks out on stage, and there's been tremendous rumors of a fourth headliner this year due to the poor sales of last year (although I don't think it's PJ as much as I wish it was).

I know that, but they do bend that rule at times, BlackPink played the Forum last year the Wednesday of Weekend 2 and the 1975 played the Roxy.  I'll just hope PJ is playing the Forum April 15, or anywhere in LA for that matter.....

I don’t think they’re headlining Coachella for the reasons mentioned above. Does that mean they can’t join RATM as a guest appearance? I don’t know. Timing lines up perfectly.

RATM doesn't need anyone else on stage with their triumphant return to the festival!!!

After reviewing every page of this thread I can safely say I’ve come to the conclusion that:
    1. We’re all nuts
    2. Dimi is a cock tease 🤭
    3. Brooklyn isn’t NYC
    4. It’s not out water that makes our pizza the best

    am I missing anything?
