I think probably 10% chance Biden, Trump get in a physical altercation during a debate, and 50/50 chance we see Biden do push-ups before this is over.

sounds about right.  I would not be surprised to see Biden get in Trump's face.

Someone who is honed in on what they perceive as racism or social injustice.  I used it as a pejorative because offense was evidently taken at me using the word "actual" in front of minority.  It was very woke of him to see the inherent racism in that statement.

Ah, I see.  Well, kiss and make up, 'cause I like you both and I think you both have good things to say here!

Regarding the term "woke" itself, I guess it's just the way language evolves but for some reason this term just bugs me.  I think it's because it assumes that the user is somehow "enlightened" and seems to be used mainly by a young generation.  I get that.  In the 60's, I thought I had all kinds of insightful stuff figured out.  When I moved into mid-life, I started to really work at being better educated.  Now, in later life, I realize more and more how much there is to learn still, how much I don't know.  I am anything but woke.  Maybe I'll be "woke" when I drop dead!

Nothing wakes you like the great dirt nap.  But yes, you're dead on (haha, get it?).  The implication is that one is more tuned into racial issues.  The reality is that most of the time a person sees something that is not actually there.  Certainly there is inherent racism in lots of our culture, that embeds over time.  But it's also possible to be hypersensitive to it as well.

"Dead on", LOL!!  Not yet, thankfully!

Yeah, there is this whole over-the-top hypersensitivity in much of culture today.  I'm actually more OK with that than callousness,  but I think sensitivity is best when tempered with common sense and critical thinking.  Maybe even a little dash of cynicism thrown in now and them.

Did I say you believe in fake minorities? How did you make that leap? I questioned your use of the word “actual” before minorities because I don’t ever think I’ve read minorities being qualified in such a manner. People eat ice cream or actual people eat ice cream. Why the qualifier?

It has nothing to do with that noun.  Using actual as a modifier during a comparative is quite common.  And my sentence was at its core,  a comparative.

"The anticipated result versus the actual result".  In this sentence actual isn't necessary either,  but it's not uncommon.

I think it is wise to choose a fresh unknown VP pick rather than choose someone your opponent already has a huge dossier on.

"I'm sorry that Hillary Clinton is rerunning 2016," Sanders said in an interview with Iowa Press that aired Sunday. "I could take out a letter from Hillary Clinton saying, 'Thank you Bernie for working so hard to try to make me the President of the United States.' "

This was pathetic, as usual with Hillary. Maybe he would have endorsed her sooner if the entire DNC wasn't in Hillary's pocket conspiring to make her the nominee.

I thought that was a fantastic interview. Wish she would've agreed to it three years ago. Not that it would've made a difference (although you never know because the amount of people that can fit into a football stadium determined the result) but I felt it humanized her in a way that I haven't seen done maybe ever.

Stern is the best interviewer on the planet.

There was a time I thought of Stern as nothing more than the guy that hosts "Lord of the Anal Rings" on the E! network. Where the switch flipped for me to realize how great an interviewer he is was an interview with Paul McCartney not long after Linda died. He had Paul talking about the first time he had sex following Linda's passing. I couldn't believe it. Paul was all like "I was thinking to myself during it 'Linda, what do you think of this, babe?'" It was surreal and the type of stuff only Stern could get out of people.

For sure. I didn't even listen to him back in those days. I just watched the E show. The fact that he can get these people to come in and sit for an hour uninterrupted is pretty incredible. I hope this one was the interview where the dam breaks and he gets a lot more interesting celebrities willing to to talk to him.

Did the DNC conspire to make 55% of Democrats vote for her in the primaries?  They are awfully powerful.
