    ... I'm not sure if the main script writer was killed in a car accident 75% way through filming and they had an intern with no prior knowledge of the plot finish it, but that would make perfect sense.

    Once upon a time in Hollywood...

    i thought it it was pretty good but not earth shattering. Nice change up to the typical Summer comic book and Blowing shit up movies

    Yeah, I watched on the plane, didn't make me want to puke....but if I were home watching there is no way I would have finished it.

    I'm partway through watching Falling Down (again).  Some great scenes, and Douglas plays someone ready to blow so damn well.

    Yeah, I watched on the plane, didn't make me want to puke....but if I were home watching there is no way I would have finished it.

    I checked Rotten Tomatoes and the critics gave it 75% and the audience gives it 73% ... I guessed 42% before checking.  I think The Dude gives it a 20% boost in street cred.  I thought Jon Hamm's character was very interesting and well acted. 

    It was just weird that the hotel was the centerpiece of the movie and the mystery of it was all but forgotten as a footnote by the end with nothing explained.

    I need to see it again but that sounds about right.  If I had to rank it against his other films it would be on the bottom end but that still makes it a great movie.

    People that are not familiar with the Manson murders are going to be a bit in the dark I think.

    Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 

    I'm a huge Tarantino fan so I've been looking forward to this for awhile. Really Enjoyed it. Not his best work but definitely up there. Definitely not a movie for the Marvel Universe, Michael Bay, Duane Johnson crowd.
    Fun to see Michael Madsen show up for a quick scene.

    Inglorious Basterds, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction. All this Tarantino talk over his new film, coupled with me severely injuring my back this weekend and being on the shelf, led to Tarantino binge for me. I had forgotten how great Christoph Waltz was in Basterds.

    I think that's my all-time favorite Tarantino scene in the farmhouse. Especially the first time I watched it hoping the Jews were going to get away. Then, when the farmer gives them up, I foolishly envisioned the Nazis taking apart the floorboards to get to them. I guess I was lost in the scene and forgot whose movie I was watching....as the Nazis began to shoot at the floor.
