Trump is taking America down a slippery slope. Admitting he didn’t need to do this. No, I understand - I'm not conflating the two, hence why I was saying SCOTUS's decision is irrelevant. It's just that his actions lead the way for what a Democratic president may want to call a national emergency on (as House Speaker Pelosi reiterated above).
