Is there a link to that $85-$112 plus fees pricing info? Am I wrong or does that likely mean $110-$137 per ticket with fees?

I would guess $17.00-$22.00 convenience fee per ticket plus delivery fees as well.  For Seattle:

    Price Range

    $92.00 - $112.00

Additional fees are applied at Checkout. Prices subject to change.

Zac Brown Band is playing Safeco.  Here are the fees on their 90.00 face value seats:

    2 Standard Admission
    $90.75 x 2
    Level 100, 1st Of 3 Levels
    $18.95 (Service Fee) x 2
    $4.00 Order Processing Fee
    No Charge
    Print-at-Home
Log into your account from a computer - not a phone or tablet. From your order, view and print your tickets. When you print-at-home, your tickets will not be emailed to you.
    Total
    US $223.40

Here are the fees for their $127.00 face value ticket:

    2 Standard Admission
    $127.75 x 2
    Seats On Field, No Incline
    $22.70 (Service Fee) x 2
    $4.00 Order Processing Fee
    No Charge
    Print-at-Home
Log into your account from a computer - not a phone or tablet. From your order, view and print your tickets. When you print-at-home, your tickets will not be emailed to you.
    Total
    US $304.90

$18.95 fees for the $90.00 ticket and $22.70 in fees for each $127.00 ticket.  You can expect to pay about the same for PJ since tickets are priced similarly and the venue is the same..

So the range is $85-$112, wonder if all shows have a top price at $112 or if its just say Seattle due to the charity nature of the event (seems as though 10 bucks from each ticket is going to the homeless initiatives if they are committed to donating $1 Million).

    We'll know soon enough.

I’m not sure but maybe the ambiguity will keep people from trying to get extras for fear of being stuck with extra tix.

I'm wondering if the switch to TM and Verified Fan has anything to do with the early Fenway onsale debacle two years ago. Was that TicketsNow that had to issue all those refunds for selling tickets early? We never really did get a good explanation for what happened there.
Fenway shows will still be sold on Tickets.com like all other Fenway concerts.  The Ticketmaster listings say “on partner site”.  So when they go on sale, you’ll be redirected there and enter your Verified Fan code.

I am guessing the tickets will be texted to  you. Only thing that makes sense. They can't be available in your fan club account because if you really wanted to sell them, you would just give the person your login info and password

Most phones now can receive text messages. There is a reason they used "smartphone" and not just phone. Particularly, Iphone and Android. They will likely be given through some sort of app

The thing is, I think they're barking up the wrong tree.   The ticket surcharge.  It's not really deceptive.   It posted on the ticket, it's posted when you buy the ticket, it's on your receipt.  It's not hidden at all.  Everyone knows Ticketmaster adds a fee to the ticket.  The base fee of the ticket goes to the promoter, TM profits with the surcharge.

Why aren't our government going after ticketmaster under antitrust/monopoloy laws.  Bring back competition (which would also help drive down surcharges).

you can forward a text message, texting is one of the old most unsecure technologies out there.

People are always begging them to do something about scalpers. Well...here we are. I have some concerns about how this will all work but I'm willing to give it a shot.
I'd argue that anything that doesn't require in-person pick-up is way easier for scalpers to infiltrate.  I won't get into details of what problems I see arising here.
This is my biggest concern as well...

While the new practices have neutralized some opportunities for Ticket-fuckery, this has opened up some new ones. As someone said earlier, there is some ambiguity and hopefully that will dissuade some from trying to game the system, but I doubt it.

yep, I use same thing. Just curious what they can and will do to ensure only one ticket gets transferred. Doesnt seem like it is possible to really enforce that but what do I know

Yea seriously. $35 in ticketmaster fees for a $45 Dead & Co. ticket...give me a break. So sick.
