I've got the new WPC - Billy Corgan LP on preorder so gave Monuments a spin today, it's really grown on me, a pretty decent Pumpkins LP, could be my favourite since Mellon Collie.
Love Monuments.  I like it better than Mellon Collie.  I never could get into that one or anything between it and Monuments.
  • I asked this before and got crickets:

Does anyone listen to James Brown?  What pressings do u have that you like?

    Thanks

Judging by the songs he has been playing and streaming online, this new tour could be something REALLY great.

I have great tix for the Nashville show.

Hope we get to hear a lot of deep cuts. (Tristessa, Blue, Whir, Plume, etc.)

I asked this before and got crickets:

Does anyone listen to James Brown?  What pressings do u have that you like?

    Thanks
James Brown and His Famous Flames Live at the Apollo has been on my want list for awhile.  What pressing I end up with will depend on cost but when I get around to it, I'll let you know.  It's a "must have" that somehow keeps slipping through the cracks.

@brianlux I don't recall ever hearing him w Famous Flames.  I Have heard him w the JB's though.

From what I've seen in record stores there is are pressings with a label King records.  Are they legit?

The one I really want is Jungle Groove.

A very cool score today- Ernest Tubb Sings Hank Williams.  It's in excellent shape, both vinyl and cover, and get this- 10 cents!

Tubb had one of those voices that was always a bit off but ripe with character and you knew he loved to sing.  And his band, The Texas Troubadours are so fine on this one-- oh man!

And it's in great shape.  Thank you vinyl gods!

I never knew this album existed.

What are the first punk albums?

MC5, Stooges, Ramones, Velvet Underground, NY Dolls, Crass?
