I got a great package of new wax yesterday from Insound, and was wondering what folks around here are getting these days.
So, this is the place to share your new vinyl scores whenever you get 'em! Let's see if we can keep a running list and recommendations for each other.

My list from yesterday: Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff reissue - beautiful marbled grey. Sounds fantastic.
Yeasayer - Ambling Alp 12'' single
The National - Mistaken for Strangers 7." Mistaken for Strangers/Blank Slate
Arcade Fire - Cold Wind 7". Cold Wind/Brazil, Clear vinyl.

On Backorder: Mudhoney - Touch Me I'm Sick 7"
Exlpolsions in the Sky - Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die...
The Twilight Sad - Forget the Night Ahead

Have at it, folks!

Just got the new Black Crowes vinyl too. It's sweet that they have all the "...Until the Freeze" tracks blended into the album. Great listen!

When I found my original pressing a few years ago I did exactly the same! Didn't get it quite as cheap, but felt like I'd robbed someone nonetheless

it depends on the country is was issued in. this a great site for finding out what version is what, i've also gotten some great deals buying stuff used from there, too

    http://www.discogs.com/Who-Quadrophenia/master/68475

according to the site it was released in 3 countries in '73, the US, UK and Germany (who had 2 versions) all with different catalog numbers
    don't compete; coexist

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama

when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'

i learned how to play nutshell on guitar off of that album. literally picking up the needle and starting the song over and over. hope u give it a spin
  • Love my vinyl...and just wanted to say...craigslist can be a great place to score cheap albums! Too many to mention, but about four months ago I bought Ten, Vs., No Code, Yield, and Vitology for $100 from a guy. I felt like I had just ripped a kids Halloween candy...Salvation Army thrift stores can be a great place to score good records for next to nothing...I'm sure you all know this, but thought I would share!!!

    Spin....Spin.... :ugeek:
