What if im in a separate entrance, that happens to Let me in before the GA line? I would be first on the rail -would this be a problem? Cause I wouldn't have had to cut in or do anything shady...
Just let me know where that is and I won't let anyone else know.
Glad people are providing input. Consensus is that having a +1 show later won't be accepted, and is fine with me. Hope everyone's GA experience goes smoother than some that have already happened. See you out there.
I wish they would adopt the way Springsteen does GA. It's pretty smooth. Eliminates the line jumping urge, and people can enjoy there afternoon, as the front section will be at random.

I am going to be in my first GA line in Quebec so my opinion thoughts are from someone that has not experienced this yet. I think that saving a spot in a perfect world should be fine for your +1 if they are at work/kids or any other life events that need to get taken care of. The problem with this is that others have these problems as well and have made arrangements and sacrifices in order to be in that line all day to secure there spot. Also we all know that people would abuse and take advantage of this rule and allow people to rest at the hotel/party all day before the show while one person does the leg work for a bunch of others. There is no way to moderate this so I think the best rule of thumb is to get up front you need to do the work just as everyone else has. If you have not been around for a couple of hours or more go to the back and if your partner does not agree with this they sadly will have to go as well if they want to be with there friend. Tenclub stated numerous times that these are the rules and it seems simple enough to me.
I wish they would adopt the way Springsteen does GA. It's pretty smooth. Eliminates the line jumping urge, and people can enjoy there afternoon, as the front section will be at random.
Totally agree with this. Seems like they follow the Boss on other stuff why not this?
Both should be there from beginning. If your friend can't make it till later back Of the line. Why should your freind cut in front if others that put in the time.
I wish they would adopt the way Springsteen does GA. It's pretty smooth. Eliminates the line jumping urge, and people can enjoy there afternoon, as the front section will be at random.
Hey, if I've gotta wait in a line for hours and hours to get up front so does everyone else...no fair you should show up all fresh and pretty meanwhile I look like I just got dragged through the bushes backwards
I guess I hope I set up shop around some friendly people early tomorrow morning. My wife can't get off work in Frankfort until at least 4
I hope you aren't bashed too much and the line doesn't turn on you for holding a place for your wife.
10C says you're simply not allowed to do this. I can't believe anyone would try. It is so unbelievably unfair. If your wife can't get there until 4, wait until 4 to get in the line instead of acting as though she some how has the right to butt in line. You will have a spectacular spot if you get there at 4. Honestly, I cannot believe that people think it's okay to budge in front of people who have been waiting all day, even when 10C has made an official statement saying that this is NOT okay. It's fucking outrageous.

Plus 1 should be able to get in line whenever. Some people work, get in town later etc....
Some people work, but take off the day to wait in line. I don't think it's necessarily fair to those people for someone to go to work and just jump in front of them at the very end.

10C tickets are sold in pairs, there is no option to buy just 1. Thus, I assume that everyone in front of me in the line has the possibility of having a +1 come later. When you see someone show up and grab a spot in line and they are alone, you can safely assume they'll be having their +1 show up later. It's not that difficult to grasp. As long as you communicate it with the people around you and nobody is an asshole, there's no reason that should be a problem.
If a 10C member paid for 2 seats and has a spot in line, their 2 tickets come with their spot in line. What's the difference to you if you see the second person in line or not? The ticket is still there. I don't understand this feeling of "I put my time in, they didn't". The time WAS put in....by the person waiting there, who has 2 tickets. Just because you don't see the second person or know that they are there is your problem. Sure, if there are 10 people in line ahead of me when I show up, and 10 more come hours later I would be a bit frustrated, but it comes with the territory. What's much, MUCH worse to me is telling a husband that his wife can't be his +1 when maybe she has to finish her work shift or she'll get fired, or some family emergency. You really think the guy waiting all day should go to the back of the line? That's incredibly ridiculous.
Sure, we don't want people cutting or people letting groups of friends ahead, but I say everyone is entitled to handle their +1 as they choose. They paid for it. I think some of you people need a better perspective on life if this really bothers you.

If you show up when the doors open you will still be no more than 4-5 people from the stage. Is it really worth pissing a bunch of people off to get that few feet closer? I will never be rail because I will never camp out for it. I'm ok with that. If someone is willing to camp out overnight to be 8-10 feet closer to the stage than me then they deserve to be there. Either both wait it out or just show up right before the doors open and still have an amazing view. And tickets are sold in pairs but that'a two spots inside the pit. Not two spots at the rail. Stop being selfish y'all. We are better than this.
I think people should be present in the line to get to go in first. One of the most disheartening things is watching a line "grow wider". IE you think your 30th or 40th in a line. You've seen the same people waiting all day (give or take a pee break). Then as opening time gets closer, the line in front of you balloons up. All these people join their friends in line. You end up being 100th back.
I don't have it in me to wait it out for rail, but I think those that get it should be amongst the most hardcore of PJ fans. The ones who do the whole wait (give or take a pee break). I've heard a few people mention the Springsteen thing. Up front it's a bit silly. The Springsteen thing is to determine who gets into the pit. He doesn't run a fan club and the whole floor is GA, but the the floor is divided with a pit at the front. The process of getting a number, coming back at 5pm, having the number pulled, and using that to let people into the pit is to determine who gets in the pit. On the surface it seems kind of silly that you need it for PJ because the pit tix have already been allocated. On the other hand the positive side effect of creating an orderly process into the pit is a good one. It does seem the line for GA is getting a little out of control. Do you have a link to this as official policy? Also, it says nothing of a +1. I read it as saying ticketholders can't show up and get in ahead of ticketholders already in line. As long as one person is in line, they are the holder of the tickets.
Since you're reading into your quote what you want, how about the 10C policy that states: "General Admission tickets purchased through the fan club will allow fan club members early entry into the venue whenever possible." I can use that and say only fan club members can get early entry. Again, here is an assumption of a +1.

^ This. It really is as simple as this. A +1 in GA means nothing. Whatever time you arrive, get in the back of the line. Anyone in line before you deserves to enter before you. Simple.

I am not spinning anything here. This is the exact message they sent me and I think its pretty clear what they are trying to say.
GA Entry Rules and Etiquette-
- All GA ticket holders must enter through the designated GA entry door.
- GA entry door will open about 15 minutes before regular door time to ensure a safe entry.
- The GA entry door for this show will be located at the East Entrance. This door is the fastest and most direct route to the GA floor.
- The GA pit is located on the floor directly in front of the stage, is standing room only, and is first-come-first-served.
- You must have both a GA ticket and an Official Ten Club GA Entry wristband fastened to your wrist to enter the GA Doors. Those two items combined give you GA pit access.
- Your guest does not have to line up at the box office with you. You will be given your two (2) tickets and two (2) Official Ten Club GA Pit wristbands. Immediately put on your wristband and pass the other to your guest to do the same. Put the tickets someplace safe. Do not lose them!
- Removed, broken, fake or tampered with wristbands will not be honored. Lost wristbands will not be replaced, so put them on as soon as you get them. No exceptions.
- The GA line is for members with GA tickets and wristbands only. Members with reserved seated tickets can enter from any other entrance at regular door time.
- The GA entrance has been pre-determined, but is subject to change on the day of the show. This is unlikely to happen, but in the unlikely chance it does, you will be directed to the new entrance via signage and by venue security staff.
- The GA line is first-come, first-served. In the past, fans have used their own fan created numbering system to save a place in line. The numbering system is no longer tolerated. We have seen fans abuse this in the past arriving early to get a number, and then leaving for long periods of time only to come back at door time and jump in the front of the line. Therefore, anyone participating in this fan created queueing system will be sent to the back of the line. It is the Ten Club’s position that those that put in the time to wait in the GA line all day should be of the first in the door. Anyone abusing this will be sent to the back of the line. Of course it is necessary to take bathroom breaks, or to jump out of line to pick up tickets at will call when the box office opens. Like any other line that you find yourself standing in for long periods of time in your life, simply have your guest hold that place in line for you temporarily, and communicate to your neighbor that you will be right back. They will ask the same in return from you because this is the right thing to do. The GA line should be a friendly community. Be neighborly and respectful and do not abuse the kindness of your fellow Ten Club members.
- Upon entering the venue through the GA entry line, have your GA ticket in hand to be scanned. Hold your arm up showing your wristband in clear view so that security can verify your GA entry credentials and get everyone in the door as safely and efficiently as possible.
- DO NOT RUN! Anyone that enters the venue and starts running will be stopped by security and escorted to the end of the line. We know there’s a lot of excitement and energy that builds while waiting in line, but this is a strict rule. So be safe, have fun, and DO NOT RUN!

Both sides of this remind me of grade school kinds running and taking cuts just to get in the recess lines. It's true, show up at 4:00 or any time and you will be super close. The whole "have to get the rail" madness has gotten really crazy since they went back to GA 3 years ago.You can get in line when the doors open and have like one or two people in front of you on the rail. If you can't get there in time don't worry about it. I walked onto the floor at literally like 8:00 a couple years ago and was about 10 people back from the stage. Big fucking deal.

Exactly. I walked into St. Paul at 7pm at was maybe 8 deep dead center, and could've been even closer had we moved to Stone's side. We eventually opted to hang out toward the back and it was still a blast!

I fully agree. I've waited till 7pm, gone to the show, and have been 8 rows back, at an awesome spot. There is no real need to line up early unless you need the rail. I think overrated, but I really would love a pick just one time :( Almost got one once!
