I gave you a pretty easy question - define one person who does not collect his or her own Social Security, who still has the faculties that he or she should be carrying a gun. You said nothing - in other words you have literally zero evidence to contribute to validate your point.

Let me be more direct: it astounds me how obtuse and arrogant you are, that you think your own unsubstantiated and miscomprehended understanding of a law that you're incapable of refuting, leaves us as the blind followers of a policy-maker. Especially when the topic is as important as guns - guns, the items who some say protects, but statistics actually show lead to an epidemic of senseless suffering and death in your country.

Almost makes me wonder if you don't collect your own SS and feel you deserve a gun - and I must say, if you carry firearms, I hope this bill gets passed and they collect it from your intolerant and pathetically close-minded self. Then, with all that free time you'll have because you can no longer wound or kill animals for menial sport, maybe you'll have time to actually educate yourself on the English language and come back here and justify properly why that was a mistake. But I don't see that happening.

I'd love to see a cogent argument from you one day on this topic. Until then, maybe you should shut your mouth before issuing blanket statements on so many people for having an iota of logic in the things they say. I think that anyone who needs a representative payee to collect SS for a disability is likely incapable of carrying a gun. I also invited you to find me one single case where that doesn't ring true, and you gave me nothing.

When I reach the age that I can collect SS, I hope I don't need to. If I do, I hope it isn't on disability. If it is on disability, I hope I don't feel the need to protect myself. If I feel the need to protect myself and I'm not even well enough to collect my own SSI cheque, I certainly don't think I deserve the right to do so with firearms.

That number's probably not so low in the mentally or physically handicapped departments - the ONLY departments this would affect.

Again, nowhere in the article does it say if you collect SS you are too old to own a gun. It says if you collect SSI you are not fit - either physically or mentally - to own a gun. Not too many quadriplegics vying for gun rights. Not too many representatives of theirs vying for them to have them either - I wonder why. Far too many mentally unsound vying for gun rights, however.
