The Sixers gave a high school senior who has Down's Syndrome a ceremonial two-day contract because he's a big basketball fan. Ceremonial two-day contract? Give the kid some minutes! He can only help.

That kid can shoot 3's better than anyone on the current roster. Good job Sixers.

think i saw this on the news the other day. pretty cool :)

Nice loss to Cleveland tonight. They should have made the score a little closer though to make it look like they are at least trying to compete ;)

anyone hear about the kid from WCU?

Sixers story with Kevin Grow is pretty awesome. it was cool to see him in the huddle before the game getting them all fired up.

yes heard and saw the story about the kid from WCU. I know they used to run this same promotion at St. Joe's games and you did have to make all 4 shots on the 1st try. Also because he played High School ball he should have been ineligible for the promotion anyway. apparently Pizza Hut is giving him the $10,000 though.

Rules are rules. I don't blame WCU for not paying.

I can't believe there are 2 more months of this shit. There not even competitive anymore. MCW has flat lined. How can Hawes and Turner quit in contract years?

There may be an expiring contract coming back as well. Edit: Earl Clark & Henry Sims
Bobcats may be in on Turner

i'm guessing all these 2nd's are not for this year's draft....but if they are we now have:

    2 first round picks
    8 second round picks

    and lots o' cap space.

god bless you, sam hinkie and josh harris.

Absolutely love it. Just need to trade Turner and Hawes scrub asses and they will be golden

    Hinkie is the best

There aren't many smart philly fans out there. Finding them is the equivalent of finding a unicorn. But every once in a while you will see or hear someone who screams for rationality. Today is the day that that fan (singular) gets to celebrate. I love you Sam Hinkie. Those who ever defended Evan Turner or Doug Collins hopefully see the light.

    Game. Blouses.

    Again

    Again
don't strain yourself patting yourself on the back (like you had something to do with the Hinkie hire or something).

I don't know or recall anyone ever defending Evan Turner. the Bobby Abreau of the Sixers.

Agree Hinkie's moves have been great to this point. only way to do it.

    now we're tanking!

    http://www.tankingforwiggins.com/

watching kansas right now. quite game for wiggins thus far. quite honestly, if the sixers get the first pick, i don't know who i would prefer them to draft. i think anyone of wiggins, parker, embied and maybe randall have the potential to be super stars. embied is so tempting just because there are hardly any dominant centers in the nba anymore. we'd have a match up advantage almost every night out.....

New Orleans lost too. A good night for the Sixers.

    I'm with you on Embied.
