    opening night. i'm going with under 16.5. figure about 12 wins for this team. James Anderson could be a keeper though.

    Allen Iverson officially retiring today. I know the guy gets a lot of shit for being an ahole and head case but the guy was still one of the 50 greatest NBA players off all time and probably the greatest under 6 feet. An absolute warrior on the court. he made the NBA watchable. the run to the 2001 NBA Finals was so much fun.

    i feel like iverson has retired about 10 times already. this is just a way to generate an ounce of interest in a team that is admittedly tanking. i mean their slogan this year is "build with us." at least they are being honest about it.

    yeah, if i ever bet against my teams, i would load up on that under. i don't though.

    so conflicted. i worked late on wednesday and didn't get to see the game. my first thought when told they hung on to win was.....they're gonna miss out in wiggins by one game. :fp: i hate that i feel like that.

    last night i was able to watch some of it. i'm happy they're showing some fight. glad to see turner playing well and mcw looks good so far. but this year, of all years, is the one to fully tank...and they're fucking winning.

    so tough watching and rooting...and then deep down, hoping they just play real well but end up losing. god, i hate this season. :lol:

    only team coming close to such a surprising start that i can remember around here was the 1993 Phils.

    the NBA usually bores me but I gotta say I had the end of the game on Saturday night and there was an electricity to that game that you don't see a lot in the NBA.

    Carter-Williams is a stud. I always liked him and thought he'd be a good pro but wouldn't have thought this start. thought it would take him a little time. MCW is going to own this city. Great player, great guy, good personality. he has the combination of talent and personality that could make him beloved around here. I'm fully on board with MCW.
