yeah ... so, a murderer may not be a horrible person ... nor a child rapist ... nor osama bin laden for that matter ... because even tho they do horrible things - they aren't really horrible ... :fp:

lance is not an asshole for cheating ... he's an asshole because that's his personality ... he's a bully and he's a liar ... it's easy to generate good vibes at a charity event when you lie ... i wonder how many of those people who helped pony up money to fight cancer feels knowing a lot of that went to promote him and into his pocket? ... it's easy to be viewed as a hero when you lie ... the reality is he is a big fraud ... i'll take honesty and integrity over bully and fraud every day of the week ...

I am willing to bet a box of Twinkies.

At some point in this interview with "Oprah and her Gynormous Buttcheeks".
Lance will bring up a dead relative.
At some point Lance will go for sympathy, and bring up either a dead mother, father, sister, brother, etc.
Anyone want to take that bet? If I lose I will be more than happy to ship you a box of Twinkies.
But I have a feeling it is a safe bet.
I have seen it before with lying, thieving, pieces of garbage.
They instantly use a dead relative for sympathy.

and the reason they have to "go after him"? to figure out how in the fuck he beat the system for so many years and who helped him.

and, WTF exactly, is this?

The Livestrong Foundation states that its mission is 'to inspire and empower' cancer survivors and their families. The LAF also aims to provide practical information and tools for people affected by cancer - but no longer provides funding for direct cancer research.

I think they also aim to raise "cancer awareness".....I guess for those who live under a rock.

This. Also, there is no evidence (as far as I know) that Lance's heart was any more enlarged than any other endurance athlete. That's what happens when one is a long time endurance athlete. I bet my heart is more enlarged than the average person, just because I am a runner, biker, swimmer even though I am old and a middle of the road athlete.

Lance and his crew always presented reasons why he was better than anyone else - obviously because they had to come up with something other than he had better doctors and drugs than the others. Those reasons have included enlarged heart, big lungs/chest, high cadence (like no other professional cyclist had ever thought of that or done that before), trained harder and more often than others (total bullshit and an insult to all other dedicated pro cyclists out there), dedicated training to only one race (TDF), blah blah blah. But it boils down to this: He was an average cyclist in the pro ranks until he started doping. Then all of a sudden he became a contender for the general classification. He boosted his hematocrit from 42 or below to 48 or so by using EPO.

His dad? You mean his step-dad? Or his mom? His wife knew. She helped distribute the drugs to his team members - in aluminum foil. He has only had one wife. He is not currently married. He lives with a woman and they have two kids together. But he has only been married once.

Lance Armstrong’s former right-hand man blasted the cycling cheat yesterday, saying that he should be in jail for lying about taking steroids.

“He’s a petty criminal,” Mike Anderson told The Post after the disgraced champion admitted to Oprah Winfrey that he used performance-enhancing drugs.

“This is a guy who never had a real job in his life. If he had not weaseled his way into [the] sport and undertook this incredible fraud, he would be a petty criminal.”

Anderson sued his former boss in 2005 for allegedly reneging on a deal to help him open a bike shop after serving as his assistant for more than two years. Armstrong settled.

Their relationship fractured in early 2004, shortly after Anderson found Armstrong’s stash of steroids in an apartment where the star cyclist stayed while training, according to court papers.

Anderson says he’s vindicated by the confession, but still wants to see his former boss locked up.

“I’d like the guy to be brought to justice — jail would be good,” he said.

Winfrey hasn’t revealed many details on the “emotional” interview, which is set to air tonight and tomorrow night.

“I left it all on the table with her, and when it airs, the people can decide,” Armstrong told The Associated Press.

His former cancer charity said it expects full disclosure.

“We expect Lance to be completely truthful and forthcoming in his interview and with all of us in the cancer community,” Livestrong said.

The TV confession comes after Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and barred for life from Olympic sports.

Armstrong faces a slew of possible legal troubles over his confession. The Department of Justice was reportedly considering joining a whistleblower lawsuit against the doper, and could still reopen a criminal probe, sources said.

Armstrong’s attorney declined to comment. A rep did not respond to an e-mail.
