Who invaded who's home, Godfather? This is why people shot cougars in the area in which I live. They forget that cougars have lived here much longer than industrialized humans and that they coexisted here just fine with the Maidu and Miwok people. If we have a problem with mice and flys and roaches it is because we've created the imbalance.Too many humans today seem to think this world was made for us. Not so and our ignoring of the fact will be our downfall. Too many people (and I'm guessing this include T.N.) have no concept of co-existence, the balance of nature,and the interdependenceof species.

Pandora - there is nothing to commend about his 'hunting' skills. He "hunts" in reserves, ranches where game is put at the disposal of the 'hunter', baited and rounded up for their pleasure. He has a ranch like this too, he makes money out of it. These are called 'canned hunts' - from Wiki: "A canned hunt is essentially a trophy hunt in which the animal is kept in a more confined area, such as in a fenced-in area, increasing the likelihood of the hunter obtaining a kill. According to one dictionary, a canned hunt is a "hunt for animals that have been raised on game ranches until they are mature enough to be killed for trophy collections."

He eats what he kills? Really?? I'm sure the rhino, which he had it's head as a trophy on his wall, tasted good :roll: And he has killed animals 'by the thousands' (see below) - what an appetite he must have!

That is the basic point. We are not all alike. Not all hunters are alike in mindset.
But I will not claim to be a better person because I do not kill.
I eat meat, it would be very hypocritical to find fault with legal hunters.

Excited about death :? ... my goodness look at the news, the murders, rapes, war,
even the favorite movies out, many humans seem to embrace just that to some degree.

I guess he thinks if hunters (he mentions those that hunt water fowl) notice habitat destruction, they can tell someone who can then do something about it so fowl come back (these are the conservationists), but once the animals come back, the hunters will be back to kill them.

I think the conservationist refers to the over herd... my article speaks to that
by National Geographic and the video posted.

I would imagine for a hunter it may be an addiction to some degree, the hunt and thrill.
Also to hunt different animals.
It is hard for our minds to grasp that but it is also hard for my mind to grasp those who choose
to be in the military for a lifetime, even after numerous war tours.
It doesn't mean it is wrong just different than what I would choose.
