I found more good from Ted...

USA Patriotism! proudly recognizes . . . patriot Ted Nugent for his ongoing support of our troops through his performances and other charitable patriotic efforts.
With over 30 million albums sold, Ted Nugent has not only earned his status as an American music icon . . . he has used it to bring smiles, enjoyment, and a helping hand to our valiant, proud troops in performance tours in association with the USO and other organizations.

Ted Nugent and his wife, Shemane, also founded the Freedom's Angels Foundation to support our brave troops. In Ted's own words...

"As the Nugent family spent more time with US hero soldiers who have sacrificed so much, yet remained in need of special attention and specialized medical and rehabilitation equipment, we were compelled to show our appreciation and gather support for these great warriors for freedom . . . The Freedom's Angels charity was formed to bring relief, joy and a heartfelt salute to those most deserving."

Here are just a few things Ted Nugent has done for the troops...

Donated in excess of 2,000 tickets and backstage passes to the military, 2005-2006.
Performed for 55,000 Marines, Sailors and their families at Camp Pendleton's Rockin' the Corps on April 1, 2005, along with fellow musicians Destiny’s Child, Godsmack, Kiss, and more. The Performance was also shown as a Big Screen Concert Event in 74 Markets Nationwide.
In 2004, participated in a USO Tour of the Persian Gulf with Toby Keith, and toured with Keith in The Big Throwdown Tour, 2005.
Ted's humanitarian and patriotic efforts has earned him numerous commendations from state police, sheriff departments, FBI and police agencies nationwide . . . and he has been lauded for his Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids, his work as a national spokesman for D.A.R.E, and for his work with the U.S. Military.

Ted Nugent is also an avid supporter of the USO and encourages other stars to do the same. In Ted's own words again...

Pandora, I don't want you to feel as though your being ganged up on here, but I will disagree with you on this.

I believe you are in fact being judgemental.
You said "Ted has some class and character".
That in the very least implies that you have judged his character and deem him a good guy.
Chadwick and myself have also judged his character, with differing results.
You believe Ted to be a good guy, (which is fine, that's great), chadwick and I have judged Ted to be a complete prick.
Different opinions, but we all came to them by a character judgement.
    Peace, Love.

Actually I said he has done some good
those class character words were based on chadwick's zero basis
    so I used them

    I work at

    non·judgmental

Refraining from judgment, especially one based on personal ethical standards.

of, relating to, or denoting an attitude, approach, etc.,
that is open and not incorporating a judgment one way or the other

We are all a work in progress and hopefully try to spread more positive
    than negative.

And yes of course we all can have our opinions but we hope others will respect them
whether they agree or not. As you have seen it has been Chad who continues,
in a derogatory way, to try to bring me to explain, though I have been clear
    in my position.

Oh and I have not deemed Ted a good guy I am learning about him in an unbiased way
and attempting to understand him and relate. Like I do with everyone,
as I have done with you.

Do you have any to add to the thread topic?

I did not know of TN's hunting crimes until this very informative thread. I do know, witnessed and experienced his insanity in person. Based on those factors alone I WILL JUDGE him as a complete pecckerhead for his peckerheadish behavior and actions.

the feeble attempts to paint nugent in a positive light are nothing but a stretch. it is the proverbial grasp at a handful of straws. what he has done is indefensible and no amount of good works (is that what we are calling it when people work for the uso these days??? or if they form an organization with "freedom" in the title??) will change what he has done nor will it bring back the herds of animals endangered or not that he has massacred...

it is also funny to me that this chickenhawk does charity for the troops. he is not worthy of shining those solders' boots. it is just a nifty PR move to show how much he "loves" the troops and the country that he was too much of a pussy to go defend when everyone else he knew had to....shameful...

trying to defend nugent with those feeble articles would be like me saying "hey, hitler had a dog that he cared a lot for, he can't be all bad... i am just trying to understand him. i will research it and get back to you all..."

    http://content.usatoday.com/communities ... concert-/1

Things may be OK between Ted Nugent and the Secret Service, but the musician's controversial comments about President Obama have landed him in some hot water with Army brass at Fort Knox.

The leadership at the Kentucky base decided to drop Nugent as the opening act for a June 23 concert.

"After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation," says a message on the Fort Knox Facebook page.

Nugent called the Obama administration "vile, evil" and "anti-American" in remarks earlier this month to the National Rifle Association, of which he is a board member.

His comment that "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year" prompted a meeting with the Secret Service. The matter was declared resolved, and Nugent said he did not threaten anyone.

Fort Knox says REO Speedwagon and Styx will continue to headline the June 23 concert.

no its not drugs. its called "being a dick". some people are good at it, some aren't. i am not very good at it because i consider other things, other people, animals, etc outside from myself and i realize that my actions might effect them in some ways. he does not. he is just good at being a dick.

no man I'm not trying to swim aginst the tide infact I'll bet if you look back in older posts about Ted you'll find that I have always been a Nuge fan and his hunting is something that I could never do but the fact that he does is his business..I'm still a Nuge fan and because of that people on here feel they have to post the most vile comments that they can,I'd bet you money that if Pandi and I did not take the stance we have on this topic it would have died pages ago, it's too bad this topic has caused so much hate on the train..something that non of us has any control over can spark so much discomfort and hate between people that have never met it's just crazy.

That's fair enough Pandora about me "staying on topic".

Though I fail to see how this post above had anything to do with "Nugent pleads guilty over illegal bear killing"

"if you hate something, don't you do it too".

    Such a great lyric. ;)
    oops!
thank you Kat I didn't see your post

the feeble attempts to paint nugent in a positive light are nothing but a stretch. it is the proverbial grasp at a handful of straws. what he has done is indefensible and no amount of good works (is that what we are calling it when people work for the uso these days??? or if they form an organization with "freedom" in the title??) will change what he has done nor will it bring back the herds of animals endangered or not that he has massacred...

it is also funny to me that this chickenhawk does charity for the troops. he is not worthy of shining those solders' boots. it is just a nifty PR move to show how much he "loves" the troops and the country that he was too much of a pussy to go defend when everyone else he knew had to....shameful...

trying to defend nugent with those feeble articles would be like me saying "hey, hitler had a dog that he cared a lot for, he can't be all bad... i am just trying to understand him. i will research it and get back to you all..."

there is no excuse for nugent or what he does. period.

seems to me that pandora and godfather are just swimming against the current to irritate people.... and it will be a shame if that causes this thread to get locked like so many others have...
I give Ted kudos for doing stuff for our troops. I know many draft dodgers, to judge those
who decided not to go fight really means you can not stand in another's shoes.

Ted's comments on how he would have handled the war though
does belittle those who did go and fight, those we lost, those who came home tortured
and broken. I hope he can see his error there.

Your assumption proves the same point you can not stand in my shoes
and do not care to know me because I do not agree with you.
When have you been quiet on a subject...
    why should GF and I?

But I give you props for not being hypocitical , you are a vegetarian who stands for no killing
    that is admirable.
