    what's cleveland up to today?

    Making big moves as always!

Browns signed G John Greco to an undisclosed contract.
Acquired last summer from St. Louis in exchange for a 2012 seventh-round pick, Greco appeared in 15 games, playing primarily on special teams. He has run-blocking potential, but through four NFL seasons has only four starts.

We are also sitting by while we piss away opportunities to land a QB. We already fucked up on RG3, Flynn will go to Miami or Seattle, We will botch trading down for Tannehill (who I don't want anyway), and rather than get Colt some weapons (i.e Trent Richardson and Kendall Wright), we will sit on our ass and bring in someone like Chad Henne or Shaun Hill to "compete". You watch.

    Another HUGE move!!!

Browns signed TE Alex Smith to a one-year deal.
Third on the depth chart last season, Smith caught 14 passes for 131 yards and one score before landing on injured reserve with a shoulder injury in late December. A blocking specialist, he'll be lucky to repeat those numbers during his age-30 campaign.

Brandon Marshall to 81's Bears? I hope he doesn't "slip on a McDonald's wrapper" on the way to the airport.

    Boooooooommmmm

Looks like he's off to a great start ;) ...

The New York Post reports Bears WR Brandon Marshall "slugged" a woman at a Chelsea nightclub early last Sunday morning.
The incident allegedly started as a fight between Marshall and another football player. Marshall ended up "cold-cocking" the woman in the left eye, though it's not clear if the punch was meant for her or was misdirected in the melee. During the donnybrook, Marshall's wife was hit in the face by a thrown bottle. It's not known that the Dolphins knew about the incident prior to the Marshall trade. Per FOX Sports' Alex Marvez, Marshall's contract clause guaranteeing $6 million of his $9.3 million salary voids if he's suspended by the NFL. Given his long and sordid history of violence, that's a distinct possibility.

I normally could not care less about NFL offseason roster moves or the draft, but for some reason, this year I am enjoying following it all. I don't get why, it just has my attention.

I wonder if the Dolphins were aware of Marshall's drunken violence allegations when the dealt him to the Bears ... I'm sure they most likely did. Bear's managament should protest and get the deal voided ... unless they knew about the incident ... which would make their management a bunch of fucking idiots ... .... yeah, the Bear's managament was probably aware of the allegations.

    edit:

the fucking idiots did know!!! :o

Colts sign Reggie Wayne to a 3 year deal! :P

Dang, I thought I might be able to at least make 3rd or 4th receiver after all the cuts that were made so far. I guess I will have to take my blazing 6.3 second 40 yard time and 18 inch vertical elsewhere.

Mary Kay Kabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer denies reports that the Browns are interested in Jason P. "We just don't plan on spending that much (and by that much we mean nothing) in free agency this year". said GM Tom Heckert. Instead the Browns plan to focus on "re-signing their own" and are currently renegotiating with the most important members of their team...the beer vendors, without whom no one would watch this pathetic fucking team.

Seriously...if they weren't from that state up north I would say to hell with Cleveland and root for these cats.

Lions signed Calvin Johnson to a seven-year, $132 million extension through the 2019 season.

That is crazy!! That is Brees / Brady / Manning money!

That should help Manning out this week in negotiations. I wonder if Brees will hold-out?
