Lions signed Calvin Johnson to a seven-year, $132 million extension through the 2019 season.
I think 81 might have just wet himself a little bit at the thought of having to watch Stafford and Megatron light up his Bears' secondary for the next 7 years.

I bet Cleveland has a scout on a plane to Baton Rouge right now...
A female soccer player and homecoming queen from LSU has missed the cut for the football team after her tryout as a kickoff specialist, coach Les Miles said Tuesday.
Senior Mo Isom, the former goalkeeper for the LSU women's soccer team, will be invited to try out as a kicker in August as she continues her bid to be the second female to play football at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported.

The city of Cleveland has agreed a US$5.8 million funding package for renovations at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
On Monday, the city council voted 16-2 to pay for renovations at the 12-year-old venue, home to the NFL's Cleveland Browns, including the refurbishment of seats, and the replacement, repair and waterproofing of concrete, which stadium operators claim has been damaged by the city's harsh winters

So, they didn't know about the "city's harsh winters" when they built the joint?
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Nobody thought to waterproof the concrete in an outdoor stadium before now? Even without the snow they had to anticipate their fans' tears.

Also needed to account for the management urinating on the fans as well.
I did just read that they might be trying to trade for Ben Tate (which would be awesome), but I know enough by now to be highly skeptical of that rumor

It sure looks like the league and Goodell could be in some hot water over this collusion case involving the Redskins and Cowboys.
I'm not sure if Jerry Jones will sue the league though. He might be better off using it as leverage to get another super bowl.
It's definitely odd. I could see the NFLPA having a case against the league. From what I read, the league told the teams not to front-load free agent contracts during the uncapped year which is basically telling them to act as if there was still a cap. Punishing teams for not doing that and announcing it just proves that the league was attempting to artificially limit players' salaries for a season in which they shouldn't have done that.

by the way, doesn't arizona look like the best fit for manning? now that wayne is back with the colts especially. he already has one of the best wideouts in the game, decent running back....indoors....weak division (minus the niners).....it just seems like a better fit than miami or denver or tennessee to me

Bears have done a decent job on him
Yes...they get the officials to erroneously call back his TDs
that was a bad call, no doubt about it.

I'm not joking when I say this, I think we have franchise tagged Dawson like 3 straight years
that's bad...
the bears have franchised the likes of briggs and forte in recent years....you guys really should draft some talent
Fisher and Bradford will be getting all their needs filled in St Louie with those picks.

Yeah, this whole things seems shady. It doesn't sound like the Skins and Cowboys did anything wrong, but the NFL is still punishing them.
