    Good god. I had to walk away from the book for a while I was so pissed off. I'm like halfway through 4 right now and I'm still not over the last 200 or so pages of 3

    As heartbreaking as it is, this is hands-down the BEST series of books I have ever read. I absolutely love that no one is safe. In the words of a good friend of mine, Martin is one sadistic and homicidal SOB! You truly have no idea what to expect. Usually when reading something there might be surprises or twists, but there are always certain safe characters and things that you know will or won't happen. Not with these books! So darn clever. Can't wait to get back to Theon's story in book 4!

    I don't mind the killing off of some characters but it makes it hard to continue reading if everyone you get to know and start to like gets killed off. Kind of defeats the purpose of spending time on developing them. I'll keep reading but that was a disappointment to me.

    Since I'll probably pick up Dance with Dragons soon I decided to get refreshed with the characters and have been reading up on stuff on tower of the hand up to for feast of crows and I think I came across something.

    Spoiler up to the end of Feast of Crows. (Highlight)
    I remember there being talk that Syrio might actually be Jaqen, but I guess there is plenty saying that doesnt make sense. But Syrio is from Braavos same as Jaqen, so maybe they arent the same person but could they both be part of the Faceless Men? And just maybe Syrio did kill Trant (since the outcome is never very clear) and for right now has taken his identity. If you look at Trants track record as a guard after Robert and Eddards death, Joffery, Tywin, Tommen then Cersei. Now I dont know what happens to Cersei or Tommen after FFC (and if something happens in DWD dont spoil it please) but oddly Joffery and Tywin end up dead. Pretty bad guarding. Isnt a guard suppose to be aware of whats going on around the people he is protecting? seems suspicions.

    so my guess Syrio is not Jaqen, but instead is pretending to be Trant now.

    Thanks for sharing i had heard about that but i made the wait for Dance with Dragons without reading any of the spoiler chapters and i'm gonna try to do the same with Winds of Winter. :?

    We'll see how my holdout lasts.
