the Dude abides!
that EA server issue sounds very familiar though. had it all the time with Skate 3 and Battlefield 2: Bad Company. .."...bring it back someway bring it back, back, back... to the clean form, to the pure form..."

I'm looking forward to knocking the dust off my electric guitar ... I'm hopeful this game brings back a former passion of mine.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Jason, my buddy who suggested it said it's really fun in that it teaches you as you play, scales, etc. and full songs, the effects used in the songs available. Too cool.
They were sold out and didn't let me ordered one at the store so I'm thinking of just waiting until the price drops a little or buying it used around Christmas if that's possible.0 -

One of the reasons I stopped playing a few years back is because I didn't have any friends to jam with. I hit a plateau and over a while, just stopped. It will be interesting to have other instruments in the background.
It will be very ironic if a hobby that replaced playing the guitar actually gets me to stop playing video games and back to playing the guitar in my free time.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
I hear you there, I stopped playing because I moved and have nobody around here that plays. Too bad it can't be played online, I'm hoping they come out with a bass guitar version as well since I play that too. And even a drum, keyboard and vocal too so everyone can play / learn all the parts of a song.0

anyone?
holding off on this for the time being. batman: AA was one of the best campaigns i've ever played, but once i beat it, i was like... what now? the challenges got old after a little bit and there is no online play.
same is going to apply for AC, but gears of war and battlefield will keep be busy for a while. i do plan on getting it, just not now.
my friends that have it said it is incredible and the equivelent of what dark knight was to batman begins.0 -

the servers are shit, have been shit, and always will be shit. just a reality with frostbite & EA.
BUT once you get connected, it is beyond awesome :P
really thought they would have learned from BF2, but guess not. apparentely there are "important" patches in the works. we'll see.0 -

I had no issue with Bf2 connections, and I got BC2 long after it came out so they had everything figured out (except stat saving) by then.

For $15, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition is well worth the money and is awesome with friends playing.
Plus, you can unlock old-school guys like Mullins, Stockton, and my favorite Rik Smits!
