I might be getting 2 kittens to live with me soon, my friend's sister found 4 kittens in a box in a field by her house and she has asked me to take 2 of them and her sister will keep 2, as she can't keep 4, I am contemplating this

@fifthelement.... can you speak to your neighbour?

Sorry for the long delay in replying, I've only just seen this

The neighbours are not very neighbourly :( They've been next door for four years now, and barely exchange a hello when when we see them. I've tried to talk to them on occasion, but they really don't seem open to it. I've actually had the guy walk within two feet of me and look away rather than say hello :wtf:

Granted we're not the most neighbourly either, we generally try to keep to ourselves. However, we are polite and do say hello or chat when we're out working in the yard and see others. Kinda weird if you ask me

Regardless, Frank is looking better, I've bought some cat food and periodically feed him :) Actually, whenever I go outside he comes flying over the fence and runs through the yard, dodging the dog who wants to play, in order to get some treats and affection :lol::lol::lol: It's hilarious.

He still needs to be shaved on his belly and hindquarters though. I've managed to cut off some of the bigger mats on his back and side, and then give him a good brushing :D

Well, it's been 11 days and my ginger cat Eddie is still nowhere to be seen :(

He usually only comes in after dark and I keep expecting to see him waiting at the back door, but nothing...

I think I posted a pic of him and my other cat Mookie here a while back.

It feels weird, Im not crying yet as I still kind of hope he will come sauntering back as if nothing happened, but worried all the same.

I really hope you find him. Do you put food outside? Maybe he's hiding somewhere near. I've heard cats will do that - when we've had one escape we usually find him in the bushes next to our house.

    Thanks JaneNY :)

Yeah, I have an outside laundry, and leave their food and water outside for them...only drawback is, I also get the cat from across the road who eats it and also bashes up Mookie (surprisingly Eddie was never injured). Every night once it gets dark Eddie will come out from under the house and wait at the back door, then sleeps inside...ahem, on my bed :D

I always think its harder when your cat goes missing, as opposed to suddenly dying...it prolongs the sadness and also makes it hard to find closure. You kind of keep hoping they'll come back.

    And thanks Lizard :)

ps - on a brighter note, loving the newest pics of everyones kitties :D Very cute!

These kitty pictures are great. We were at an animal shelter this morning, looking for a new dog, but we stopped to see the kitties and they're ridiculously cute. Of course we wanted to take them all home - but our two cats would go nuts. This shelter is no-kill and very very nice.

I wish more people would adopt.
