    Yeah, basically there are 16 of us that do similar jobs (our job profile is 80% generic, 20% specialist) meaning theoretically we could all do each others jobs.
    So in the new structure there are only 10 positions, so all 16 of us have to do a written application and an hour long interview. The top ten applicants, providing they all meet the points threshold will be appointed to the posts, so it is a proper competitive process. Worse than last time...

    I got sent an email by KLM, I am on the mailing lists for various airlines and hotel chains etc becuase of my old job, but they come in handy for special offers, deals, and odd little things like personalised luggage tags..

    The interviews (or is it just yours then?) are scheduled for July 28th right?

    The luggage tags will come in handy next tour :)

    Yeah, it's not nice, as we know 6 people will lose their jobs at the end of it, a lot of them are more than colleagues they are my friends. My interview is the 28th but to do us all, they are taking place over 27th/28th/29th July.

    Anyway, must remember this is a happy thread, so yes they will come in handy for the next tour :D The photo is my laptop background :D

    Next tour? Sounds good to me. Seeing the Youtube of the Eddie solo show makes me hope that he might decide to come over to Europe and do a few shows somewhere while the band are off the road/doing other things.

    Cool luggage labels. You do seem to get emailed some random stuff sometimes!

    But where will the next tour take us? A summer tour, including Wuhlheide of course, which takes in some more stunning outdoor venues would be really nice. Dimi posted some pictures of some amazing looking places earlier in this thread (I think), outdoors in summer is definitely where it's at.

    Or if they do 3 nights at the Gorge, are we all going?

    Hi folks.

    We are holding a charity weekend at our pub for a charity called Stick 'n' Step which helps chrildren who suffer from cerebral palsy. They offer alot of help for parents too who need a helping hand. Sadly with the credit crunch and such alot of money is needed to keep the charity running which offers so much help in the local area.

    Anyways, Im helping out at a charity weekend and was hoping some could maybe help with donations for them, we are having a pokerthon which will last for 48 hours straight and alot of other things to help raise money. The pub will be open for over 2 days without a break and parents will be able to come and have a meal a drink and a chill at any time through the weekend. So if anyone would help with even the smallest donation I would be very greatful.
