Put me where ever you want Ten Club (preferably not behind the stage) in Philly on Halloween. I was lucky enough to get tickets to Pearl Jam at the Spectrum for probably the last concert there ever. To me it really does not take anything away from the show being a litle further away. It will be a blast no matter what.
  • Not trying to repeat myself here, but I know many times with season ticket holders they are held until the day of the show. Then if the season ticket holder doesn't want them, they "sell" them back to the venue. I don't know if that is what happened, but just some food for thought.
  • The only problem here is that there were tickets on sale on Ticketmaster for sec 120 row 12, that's a damn good seat.

So you're telling me that Ticketmaster was selling better seats then Ten Club? I don't mean to be rude, but it's kind of discouraging to know that someone can buy a better ticket off of Ticketmaster than through the ten club.

There HAD to be some misscommunication.

I talked to a guy earlier in the day on Sunday who had just bought section 115, row 12 at 10:55am through Ticketmaster. That should have gone to a 10c member with a pretty decent number.

I didn't read all 17 pages so forgive me if it has been said

But now might not be a good time to mention that you paid $74 not $68 (the total for the pair from 10C was $148)

alota times ticketmaster does ticket drop for concerts day of show. this happens at basically every concert.

Season ticket holders were not offered anything for this event.

I was talking about Ticketmaster purchasers who bought the day of event, a week before, the day they went on sale.

  • And I was letting you know that there were people that had great seats purchased on Ticketmaster well before the day of the event. But you're correct, once the stage is set up they usually release a few tickets based upon unknown seating areas.

I already talked about this under the other thread but this is the more fitting one. So far I saw three people with numbers higher than mine getting better seats than mine both nights. So that makes me think there had to be something unusual going on. And the person at the box office would not show me my envelope. So I had no way of knowing those were really my tickets.

So, you came from Madison, a two hour drive, and you had great seats the second night. How would you have felt flying from Phoenix and only being able to attend Sunday for financial and work reasons?

I don't know how I would feel because I am not in your position.I was only trying to share some of the positive attitudes that I encountered.

it doesn't seem to matter how good your intentions are, madtown......this guy just wants to shit on everyone.

Hmmm. This brings a thought to mind: what part of the alphabet are people who got the nosebleeds in? I wonder if there's a pattern.

The 10C should email us where we are going to be seated few days before the show. So when we get our tickets we can confirm and know if the our 10C tix where switched.

    Yeah, right Mr. Paulonius.

Here is the last thing I'm going to post on this debacle. (Fuck you, all of you who just said 'Good').

I dare anyone to say they would expect upper level back of the arena seats from 10C, regardless of priority number.

PJ has decided to skip the flyover states on this tour, which is fine. They can play anywhere they want. What this means is that die hard fans who are willing to travel, are going to travel to the shows.

I highly doubt when PJ envisioned 10C, they thought it would ever come to giving fairly low numbered fan club members who traveled 1000 miles to see the band, seats in the upper deck in the back of the United Center. I just don't believe that is what they would want, or expect. 10C should cut off sales when 10C seats are that bad, and let people use Ticketbastard to DECIDE whether they want to take seats like that. I've read other threads from people who attended both nights and had much better seats Monday, but for those of us who could not do that, the experience just sucked. That's all there is to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if merch sales were down for the show on Sunday. I know I was fuming to the point I skipped the $120 I had allocated to t-shirts and posters, and at least one other person I talked to said the same. I just want to forget about the show.

Some people don't want to wrap their brains around everything that you just stated only because Pearl Jam is their favorite band (and mine) and they could never do anything wrong, or see improvement in something.

  • some find it humorous when people only want improvement on issues when it affects them directly. that's called selfishness and whining.

take it up with the 10C, sistas. none of us can do anything about your entitlement issues.

I didnt read through the whole thread, I really have no clue as to what was the reason for the seats in the upper deck, there has got to be a reason for that.

My number is 212819 and I got section 111, row 1 and a very good friend of mine is just off by a couple of numbers (his member number I mean) and they were in the same section and row as me.

I was really happy with my seats :D

    1) It affected not one person, it affected a LOT of people.

    2) Again - THIS THREAD is in direct topic of what we are talking about..if you wish not to talk about it, move along to another thread.

    3) I realize you love tossing that word "entitlement" around because you believe it makes your argument look that much better.

Let's put the def of entitlement:

    Main Entry: en·ti·tle·ment
    Pronunciation: \-ˈtī-təl-mənt\
    Function: noun
    Date: 1942
1 a : the state or condition of being entitled : right b : a right to benefits specified especially by law or contract
2 : a government program providing benefits to members of a specified group; also : funds supporting or distributed by such a program
3 : belief that one is deserving of or entitled to certain privileges

I do not believe I was deserving of a certain privelege. I believe, people believe, they were deserving of the service THEY PAID FOR. You see, the service said that 10C will get you the best seats possible. When you have others, in better areas of the arena, getting much better seats.. that's not getting the best seats possible. In other words, people are angry because the service they signed up for/paid for.. they didn't get according to what it actually says.

There were people with fantastic 10C numbers that were in the upper levels. That's why people are upset.
