Not thrilled about the last two games against the Rays!!! :x

It's early. Bats always wake up when it's warmer. Bullpen looks great so far though.

also, the Rays are good ... something people need to get used to, last year was not a fluke.

yeah they are kind of really good. they didn't even have a guy who went out of his mind last year, and they have david price coming up at the end of the month.

That guy can straight up pitch. However the Sox WILL prevail. Go Bruins and The Celtics TOO!

I was at this game. It was fucking awesome. Obviously getting the win was the best part, but up around the 9th, I was just happy to see a great game with tons of bombs. Not to mention I have Bay on my Fantasy team.
  • that was a hell of a game today. 39 pitches for papelbon? anyone worried that he got worked over, or that it took 39 pitches for him to get 4 outs? Or the effect throwing 39 pitches will have in him?

yeah.... but Terry will get him some rest. He was throwing pretty well it seemed, just got to him a bit. That was a tough at bat to end it.

I think the Sox will be fine. Facing the defending AL Champs then flying out west to play the AL West champs is not the easiest way to start the season.

In order to win it all we are going to have to hit against good pitching, but we've got an entire year to find our identity and get in a groove. Facing a couple average teams is usually the cure for what ails ya.

Should be a fun summer. Nothing to worry about at the moment.

Dropping 2 outta 3 to two playoff teams from last year doesn't faze me. Bats looked pretty good in this Angels series. Penny looked adequate, we'll see when we need Wake how he'll do.

I'm not going to worry yet... I've got to print out a schedule for this season. Can't wait for the Sox to play the Yankee's, and hopefully A Roid will be back by then..

Well they start slow and finish up strong sounds kind of sexual I gather. :)

Matsuzaka to the DL ... arm fatigue ... damn you WBC!

it'll probably be over by the time I hit "post" but, Wakes has a no hitter through 6 right now.

no hitter through 7 ... and the A's are swinging early a LOT ... so, he's only thrown about 60 pitches.

Nice work Wakes, we needed the win!

I will be seeing the game @ Fenway on Friday, followed by KOL on Saturday, Bruce on Wednesday, and the Sox again on Friday. Its going to be a crazy week, and since I have been stuck in Maine for the winter I am looking forward to some fun!!

Huge win. Even better that Wake saved the bullpen. With tomorrows day off we have time to heal after last nights debacle.

I think Dice-K was heading to the D.R. list if I'm not mistaken. (I'm sorry, it's too easy of a joke).

Good think Wakefield salvaged something from what would have been a disasterous A's series.
