I can't imagine that Charlotte was Ben's daughter...that would mean someone actually got down and dirty with him. :shivers:
OMG you're right. I don't want to go there at gunpoint.
Do you 2 forget what a lovely ham dinner he prepares? (And looks quite effeminate when doing so)

Yeah, and I was waiting for him to say something like "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti, pffft. . . ."

I'm thinking that Charlotte was the little girl that was bff with Ben when they were kids. What was her name? Jill? Something like that...

I think her name was Annie.

    THat sounds right.
yep, it was annie. i was wondering last night if charlotte was annie...it'll be interesting, because i'm sure she's connected to someone in some way.

i think we're going to see a lot more flashes or daniel 'interfering' when he travels through time. we already saw him talk to desmond and he was there when those guys were blasting away that rock. i think they'll show him talking to charlotte in a future episode.

i loved last night's episode. the hour goes too quickly!

haha...that episode was creepy and gross. poor juliette. (there's something you don't hear around here every day!)

one more comment - i love how we don't know who is good or bad - widemore, ben, the island, jacob, christian shepard....they do a really good job of not letting us figure it out.

Yeah, that's my favorite part of the show because even though we're paying attention - we really don't know who we should be rooting for.

Plus, I'm always happy to see some pro-Juliet banter. ;)

I'm beginning to think Christian was always a part of the island, which is why he became an alcoholic when he was older. Being away from the island was too much for him. Similar to the current plot involving Locke's death and eventual resurrection back on the island, Christian seems to be able to only live on the island for some reason.

Excellent point....searching for the island be the reason that he went to Australia so much.....such a heritage might also be one of the clues behind why so many folks wanted Claire on that particular airplane.

    Really?
The guy who mass murders everybody in the Dharma village, including his dad and his childhood pal?
The guy who got Michael to kill Ana-Lucia and Libby and betray his friends?
The guy who doesn't haven't any qualms about blowing up the freighter so that he can avenge his daughter's death?

I've heard other people say that deep down he's a good guy but the only person he seems to have been really nice to is Alex, as far as I can tell.

He just keeps giving me the creeps.

I don't think Christian is alive at all... he's just a vehicle for Jacob. Which would be a reason why he couldn't help Locke get over to the big wheel...

And yeah I heard the Frenchies picking up the numbers being broadcast... wonder who originated the transmission...

Remembering back to S1, episode The Numbers...Hurley learned them from a dude he in knew in the mental institution. That dude was in the Australian navy, I believe. That dude picked up the transmission and became obsessed with The Numbers. That's why Hurley was on the plane...he went to Australia to find the dude's wife and ask her about The Numbers...and why they bring about evil.

She later qualified it by saying that was referring to me as a potenial witness in deposition...she's a defense lawyer and said that she would hate to interview me as a hostile.

Trust me, I hadn't forgotten that!

He must have raised her with a certain amount of care and affection for her to feel some in return to him. But he didn't mind using her to manipulate the stand-off situation. Unfortunately for him, Widmore's men weren't as easy to manipulate as everyone else he's encountered so far.

He also wants to avenge her death by killing Penny, although I suppose you could debate whether he saw Alex as a loved one or a "possession" taken from him.

I think a good comment was Jacob/Christian telling Locke "Since when has listening to Ben gotten you anywhere?' or something like that.

I'm just not ready to join the Ben Fan Club. :P

I was talking to vedhead27 again about Lost last night and this came up. If Locke gets off the island by pushing the wheel there and returns to the "real" world. Will he be in a wheel chair again because he's off the island? And is that why he broke his leg there from the fall before he pushed the wheel to get him ready for that transition.

Also, if by pushing the wheel, Locke gets the island out of the loop that it's in and stops the flashing, wouldn't everyone be trapped in the past? Because unless the well was filled up in the future for some reason, Sawyer, Juliet and the rest are standing by the area where the well hasn't been built yet.

I was under the impression the well had been covered over...which is why the rope was hanging out of the dirt. AKA...they were in a time AFTER the well.
