You know, the more I think about it, I think it is possible that Kate did leave Aaron with Grandma voluntarily. At first I thought she had been forced to give him up for some reason, but maybe she decided to do the "right thing" and come clean. Although, Kate has not really been too concerned with doing the right thing in the past. She is usually more concerned about herself. But anyway, she might have decided or somebody convinced her that she had to go back to the island, but she knew she shouldn't/couldn't take Aaron so she left Aaron with Claire's mom. She was too upset to talk about it with Jack, or is still mad at him over his relationship/ or lack thereof with Aaron.
And then again, maybe Widmore got hold of Aaron and his holding him hostage or something...
Can't make up my mind, but that is what makes this show so great.

I have a feeling Ben will find a way to get him back on the Island
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
One thing though is I think Aaron is going to have a big role to play later on, his being on and off the Island has been a big issue since season one.
I continue to think he may be the pivotal character when it's all over.
We've been told that other people were "special" and we've watched them make mistakes and disappoint. We don't know anything about Aaron because he's a child but he was born on the island and he is unique.
One last thing, and then I have to get some work done. Why was Ben on the plane? If they were trying to recreate the last flight he would not be there right? Doesn't he have other ways to get back to island? Well, maybe he doesn't because Hawking said that this was their one window of opportunity.
I wonder where the submarine fits into the picture? Remember the sub that Juliette supposedly traveled in to get to the island? But maybe that was just a ruse so she didn't know the truth.

Locke blew up the submarine.
Here's a crazy theory. In recreating the first flight as best they could, maybe Christian's grand child is on the plane. Maybe Jack knocked Kate up the night before the flight so there technically is a pregnant woman on the plane who is carrying Christian's grandchild. And maybe that is why Aaron was not needed to be on the plane.

Maybe ben was taking Aarons place for now? I am curious to see what happens to the rest of the people and the plane, we already know that Saywer and his group found the water bottle from the plane.

I thought about that with Kate.
Ben is on the flight because he's a self-centered prick who has to be in the middle of everything and thinks the island belongs to him. How's he going to get it back if he doesn't go with everybody else? He'll keep trying to manipulate everybody as long as he can.
If they do finally kill him off, it won't be something as simple as Sun shooting him. It will have to be really, really dramatic or slow and painful as payback for 4 years of treating everybody else like used toilet paper.

Do you think Lapidus was on the flight to course correct the fact that he was supposed to be the original pilot on Oceanic 815?
Interesting....very interesting. :ugeek:
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

I thought the same thing. Its great how everything interconnects and works in circles on this show.
It is the best show ever.
Wednesdays are like going to church in my house. My two boys 8 and 6 are completely into it and most of the time have better theories than I do.
My husband will not commit himself to a TV show but he has grudgingly admitted to be hooked on Lost. We were talking about the show the other night and he said he just hoped the series conclusion lived up to the whole premise or he was going to be really mad about having spent so many hours watching TV! I just had to laugh, then I started thinking of lame endings for the show:
It was all an in-flight movie.
It was one of Hurley's hallucinations in that upscale mental hospital where the patients wear pajamas all the time (sooo realistic).
My pick: Sawyer wakes up in bed one morning and says to Jack, "Honey, I had the weirdest dream!"

LMAO!!!
How about Jeff Probst shows up and they have Tribal Council.
After last night...I think I might be done with Lost...I did NOT like it.
I have not liked an episode this season yet. I'm not done, but it has gone way downhill for me. I've always said that I'm prepared to be disappointed at the end, but was just going to enjoy the episodes. Lately those haven't even been enjoyable. I will probably watch until the end, but I've told friends who have trailed off and planned to pick back up when it was over not to bother. The whole part with the old woman explaining things last night was so lame. There is no way Jack or one of the others in the church would not have said, "Enough! What is this island? How do you know how we get back?" It shocks me everytime I read on here how people love where the show has gone.
Hopefully it will get back on track since it has been off track before (Sawyer and Kate in the cages) and gotten back (the whole Charlie-brother you're gonna die storyline).
WTF...I cannot even imagine that Sun would leave her daughter permanently behind...not to mention the fact that the island would allow her. Hell, if the island required that Locke wear Christian's shoes...I'm sure it would want an embryo back.
This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper

I have found this season very uneven. I thought the Jughead episode was good especially with the revelation about Widmore. I agree that last night was so-so. I expected to learn MUCH more from Mrs. Hawkins in order to convince everyone to go back.
Something big must have happened to convince Kate, as well as Hurley and Sayid. I also don't understand Sun leaving her daughter behind. More had better be revealed and quickly.
But as far as this season is going, there have been some good moments and some that have tried my patience. As I've mentioned earlier I have had just about had with the time shifting. Flashbacks/back stories are one thing. Jin driving up in a Dharma van is something else.
I must disagree with the last few posters. I have found this season so far to be off the charts good. Season 1 good.
Lots of answers (The Rousseau epi was great)
Really great lines
New Mysteries
and after next weeks episode (they do need to fill in that hole), we can get down and dirty and see who really is who and what side everyone is on.
I agree ... I think this season has been as good as much of season 1 and 2 and the final 5 or 6 episodes of season 3.
I haven't been this excited for the episodes in a long time. I spent over an hour last night talking to a West Coast friend about the episode because we were both excited about how good it was and where its going next.
I think this season has been good so far, they have left a lot of questions that most likely will be explained. For me, I learned that after season three I can't judge this show until the whole season is up and how it ties together.

EXACTLY! I don't understand how people are saying they are done with the show after being with it from the beginning because they thought the last few episodes were lame. Remember this is JJ Abrams we are talking about here, the guy is an evil genious! Things will pick up. I for one have been on the edge of my seat every episode and can't wait till wednesday. Stick with it you guys!
My favorite Pearl Jam song: "Corporate Greed Boat Asshole Behind a Counter in the Oval Office"

I agree with this. That's why I've far from given up on the show. I'm just a little disappointed sometimes. It's given me so many incredible WTF moments that I guess I have pretty high expectations. I don't want it to become like The X-Files, which got very lame its last couple of years.
And seriously, I'm going to start having nosebleeds myself if they don't do something about those time shifts.

Thanks, Riverrunner and Kat, how could I forget Aaron's grandmother was in L.A. by an amazing coincidence (if there is such a thing on Lost).
I love this show too, Kat!
