    Btw, I was wrong. I had assumed Taguchi was a free agent because of his original contract with the White Sox had a clause that allowed him to be a free agent after 3 seasons. Last year was only his 4th year of service time so he is not eligible to be a free agent.

    So the Phillies still control Taguchi's rights as he is arbitration eligible. His agent has said that he wants a starting job or he will return to Japan and play there.

    So if you're the Phils, you may already have a temporary solution to Utley's injury, you could trade Taguchi, or let him walk to Japan.

    Jim Edmonds has also surfaced as a possibility for Philadelphia, along with Rocco Baldelli, Jerry Hairston Jr., Kevin Mench and Gabe Kapler.

    In other pursuits, the Phillies are still interested in bringing back Jamie Moyer, but haven't been able to coordinate schedules for more discussions. In the unlikely event that falls through, the Phillies could enter into the fray for A.J. Burnett or Derek Lowe. The team has interest in relievers Juan Cruz, Doug Brocail and Russ Springer, among others.

    Actually just got off the phone with them around 11 this morning. They screwed me. They told me last week to call back on either Thursday or Friday of this week and pick out the seats I wanted. I asked for something close to the field either sections 142-148 or 101-108. Asshole tells me that all sections starting with a "1" sold out last week. What the fuck??? So I wanted behind home plate between 419-422 and ended up with 5th row in section 423. Kinda pissed, but I can live with it.

    Yes I got a Sunday package...and I like the outfield...3rd row on the corner of the outfield...its not too shabby
