Yeah it was great when Artie had to keep pushing his beard up as Iron Sheik Jr.

I was dying during that. What brought the Iron Sheik back to the public eye? It seems like he disappeared for 20 years, but makes for AMAZING radio!

I don't know what brought him back. I think what put him on Howard's radar was that he was on Ferral and Howard loved it.

Howard has the most vacation out of any job on the planet.

I hear you there sonny. I love Howard, I love Sirius, and I don't mind paying each month for all the joys of it, but I think I've heard more of Howard's old shows than I have new ones in the past year. I need his schedule. Maybe I'd get more done in my personal life.

It usually doesn't bother me a) because I can listen to other music on Sirius or cds and b) he is in a position in his career to be able to do it and I would do the same thing!

Today I turned it on this afternoon (I don't listen to the show until the afternoon reply) and was bummed to see Mamary Lane. The above being said, it is kind of ballsy to cut the show to 4 days and take all this vacation when you are now charging people to listen to the show.

I had never heard the interview with Micky Mantle before. It was pretty good, as was Baba Booey talking ebonics to DL Hughley (sp?). I heard that before, but laughed at it today.

Why dont they ever announce they are going on vacation the Thursday before they go off? Its like they are trying to be sneaky about it. A simple "we will be off next week but we will see you the week after" is all it takes.
Oh, if I knew where it was I would take you there...

I agree. For a show that is supposed to be all about honesty, that is a pretty underhanded move. If another show Howard watched/listened to did that, he would rail against them.

I remember hearing that Tom wouldn't want them to announce they were on vacation when they were on KROCK so people would still tune in on Monday.

  • Really, is there any bigger douche bag. After hearing the tales of the events of the weekend with the guys, Ralph is just a big piece of shit.

The part about Howard telling Artie how glad he is that he came out and saw him was really touching. Howard really loves Artie. And I love him too!

I like Artie. He's really the reason I started listening to the show back in 2001. I think he needs to stop screaming during every story he tells. He was unlistenable today during the Teddy segment.

Howard does really love Artie. Artie is hilarious. I have listened to Howard since 1990. (My mom and dad still don't like him much) My older brother used to listen to it and I started to listen too. I have those two books "Miss America" and Private Parts". I was bummed when he went to Sirius, but now I have it in my car and I don't mind the traffic anymore!

I noticed that once too, and it is basically just a habit of Howard's. He actually said something about it a couple months ago he slipped and said "oh, this isn't regular radio so I can tell you we are off next week"

But you can pick up on when they are off anyway. All you have to do is listen to the show in Thursday and if he says "See you next week"-he will be back, if he says "alirhgt we will see ya soon" I know this sounds dumb, but listen for it, you can tell.

I know what you mean. My schedule recently changed where I get off at 5 instead of 4. Obviously this puts me in a lot more traffic, but I don't mind because I can listen to more of the show now.

  • Why do I absolutely hate Bam Margera?? I cannot stand it when he's on the show. He brings nothing. Who gives a shit what this tool does. His wife seems to have only married him for the fame.

I haven't heard the interview yet, but I'm sure it will suck. The best part of the show is no guests.

I never really liked Bam. He gets on my last nerve. Jackass is getting old as well. I have to admit the two movies were funny, but the guys are all getting to old to do that crap anymore. HIS WIFE totally married him for the fame and not to mention fortune.

Howard did make a good point to Bam about fortunes. Howard has never had any type of endorsements. Obviously because of his image. Yet guys who staple their nuts to their legs, take shits in plumber stores, purposely get bit by deadly animals, and cause anarchy wherever they go, can get good endorsement deals. Seems like half the world idolizes Bam and I am not one of them for sure!
