Just read a couple of pages to stay up dated on my fellow Moma Jammers:)
Glad to hear everyone's doing well!!
I just had my girlfriend's baby shower over the weekend...she was so surprised, but not as surprised as when she opened up a special little gift...I put together a Pearl Jam onesie and I burned a copy of "Strung Out on Pearl Jam"
It was awsome seeing her jaw drop:o...she's 39 weeks, she's planning on attending the Boston show with me on the 24th and 25th...I don't know how she's gonna do it!!!
    Peace ya'll...
    Much Luv...;)
If I could be anything in the world I would be your teardrop...I would be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips.

    Hi ladies-

I hope everyone is feeling well. I thought I'd drop a quick note and leave an update on our condition. My wife had an amnio done last Tuesday and the preliminary results came back with a 95% certainty that our little one is healthy. The complete results should come in next week. Everything has been very positive for us so far. We are feeling really good right now. I'll be following along with you here with your progressions and will check back later. :) Rest up and keep drinking your water!

Glad to hear about your wife Coffee!! :D I hope everything keeps looking up for you guys! And i am drinking TONS of water..its been my fav drink since i've been preggo!

I had my appointment yesterday...the sugar drink wasn't bad at all! It tasted just like Fruit Punch & it wasn't all thick & nasty either! I was very pleasently suprised! And the blood draw went well to..the lady did an excellent job! i barely even felt it!

I also had my check up w/ the doc & when she measured my belly to see how far along i was measuring, she got 30 weeks!!! According to her & my previous ultrasounds, i should be at 27 weeks! Sooo ~ i'm measuring 3 weeks sooner than we all though! My original due date was August 5th, but this would push it up to July 15th! Eeeek! I haven't even had my shower yet or anything! I need those 3 extra weeks! So, i am seeing her again in 4weeks, and she said if i am still measuring big, then we will do an ultrasound....but she thinks that i just had a big growth spurt & that i wont grow much more in the next few weeks...so we shall see in about 4 weeks where i'm at!! :)

I got some pics online if you ladies would like to take a peek ~

Coffee, that all sounds very positive!! You must feel so great hearing those results. :D I'm sure everything will turn out great.

And EddiesGurl, you look great!! I'm glad your blood sugar test was good and that it wasn't too nasty to drink! I remember before I went for that test I was more worried about drinking something gross than I was about getting the blood drawn...lol. :)

That's amazing that they might change your due date by that much! I've been measuring correctly for my due date for my entire pregnancy, and the baby has been measuring correctly in the ultrasounds, too. I'm not surprised though; I'm pretty sure I know exactly when I got pregnant. (Let's just say that it was the same night we realized Durex condoms aren't all that reliable. :D) I think I'd be thrilled if they changed my due date, though! I'm just so anxious to hold my little baby!

    Great pictures Gurl!!!
You are a brave girl for putting pics out there for all to see.

I didnt find the drink that bad either.
And i dont have a problem having blood drawn.
It was getting poked so often that sucked.

Well its two weeks away for me now.
I guess I can pop any day now.
But my next appt. isnt till friday.
Hope to make it till then.

  • I just posted new pics of Jack on our website.

    mysite.verizon.net/seangroark

All is well here. I had shoulder surgery two weeks ago, so all I can do with Jack is hold him. Last Dr's appt, he had already gained 2 pounds, up to 9 lbs, 10 oz. He is still the most well tempered baby I've been around. Only cries if he's hungry, or needs a new diaper. He is beginning to fight going to sleep, like he's afraid he'll miss something. His favorite things are our chandelier in the living room, and ceiling fan in the reading room

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! And good luck Gen ~ you are getting close! I didn't realize you were due so soon!

Too bad about your shoulder, I forgot all about it.
How long is it gonna take to heal up all better?

Ill check out the new pictures.

Oooh we put a ceiling fan in the baby room.
Sounds like that will have been a smart choice!!! :D

Congrats! 27 weeks pregnant here ~ my due date was originally August 5th ... dont know what i'm having...i have a shy baby here! At my last ultrasound at around 20weeks, baby was keeping its legs closed! soooo we couldn't find out! :( but ~ i've gotten used to the fact & am now looking forward to the big suprise!! :D

i had a DR. appt on Monday, and she said that my belly is meausring at 30 weeks! So i may be farther along than what we originally thought...or i may of just had a big growth spurt & wont grow much more for the next few weeks... my next appt. is on June 1st, so we shall see if i am still bigger, or on track. If i'm 3 weeks ahead of schedule ~ then my due date would be July 15th!

....i think i've already said this on here.... oops... haha

Hi guys!!! Hope everyone is very well! FightingHellFish, you're little boy is gorgeous!

Last night I had a BBQ with about 20 friends for my birthday. Most of us are in around 27 to 32 and we got into a drunk conversation about pregancy and kids etc and I told my "I want a caesarean" theory and boy did I cop it! LOL AGAIN!!!! ;):D

HOWEVER, I figured out the reason why I want one....I have had a few "painful" experiences in my life such as getting a cyst cut out and the local not working and feeling the scalpel etc and then having to get it packed with gauze and then cleaned and repacked for the next week etc. **shudders at the memory** And I went through that twice! I was told I had a VERY high pain threshold but I never ever want to go through pain like that again.

SOOOO, I think the reason I want a caesarean is because I would rather have less pain that stretches over a longer period of time like 4-6 weeks than to have to deal with ALL the pain at once.

I could never properly put into words before -- but that is the reason.

In conclusion, I think I must be a big scaredy cat!!! :o

to each, their own zig :)

it's a tough subject, don't let people make you justify your choices (hard i bet though :o), i completely respect your reasons!

glad the barbie went great :D

about natural birth vs. caesarean... well i'm a little off that track for now, i'll come back when i'm ready for kiddies  ;)

  • Thank you genevieve and ziggy star. Very kind words.

Jack was baptised today. He slept thru most of it. I hope everyone expecting here is as lucky as we are. This kid is so good. I know that sounds like typical parent rhetoric. I know a few people who will tell you how angelic their kid is while he's kicking you in the shins. I promise you I will never, ever be that parent. But Jack really only cries when he's hungry or when he needs a new diaper.

Genevieve...should be a few more weeks for the shoulder. I'm still in the sling 80% of the time. Last night I fed Jack for the 1st time since surgery. The hard part was sitting him up to be burped. Thanks for asking.

My second son was like that.....and he is now the sweetest 17 year old to ever live. He does have a temper but has to be pushed to the limit....and never does he get angry at me....and if I'm mad at him, to put it in his words, he bugs out!

Enjoy your babies all.....it goes so quickly. I've enjoyed reading all your posts, reminds me of my own sweet little ones of years ago.

Just for the record....I've found teens to be way easier then all the stages put together. My oldest will be 19 soon, my youngest is 12....so I may be tested at some point!

Good labor to those in waiting!!!!

I just guiltlessly ate a handfull of oreos for breakfast. Pregnancy rules. :D

(Of course, for the sake of the baby, I did eat some fruit and a bowl of oatmeal after that...the oreos were for me. ;))

I had a dr. appointment yesterday and found out that Annabelle is still head-down and the dr. doesn't think she'll turn again at this point. YAY!! :D I also lost a pound...which is why I *guiltlessly* ate the oreos. I still would have eaten them regardless, but I would have felt a little guilt if I'd gained instead..hehe. ;)

Hope you're all doing well girls! genevieve, how did your dr. appointment go? Everytime I see this thread I think you could be off somewhere having a baby right now!! You're getting so close! I can't wait for my time to come!
