    Just started The Great Gatsby. I thought I had read it already but I doesn't ring a bell so far. And I'm only reading one book? It's like the Twilight Zone :eek: (Ah... Binghamton)

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Blood River, by Tim Butcher.
    It's a good book, but difficult to read for long periods, it's about a journalist retracing a journey through the African Congo. Very interesting, but he can't seem to give you a name, or an encounter without backing it up with 2 pages of political history to explain it's significance......I get it allready, Africa is screwed up with dictators and rebels...I don't need their names and their background, I can't possibly remember it all, just tell me about the trip dood! :o

    I agree this is a great thread!

    I never got through Gatsby, not because it was bad I just was reading it at a time when I would start books and not finish them. Now I plow through anything I read no matter how bad, or how long it takes!

    Salem's Lot- Stephen King. This is one of the only one of his books that I haven't read. I have tried a few times, but never finished it.

    I have been having trouble getting into books lately so I thought this would get me going.

    I am also about halfway through "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by David Sedaris.

    right now I'm re-reading "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, which is hilarious :D I love it, reading it for the fourth time or something.
    and I'm also reading Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment"... and I like it. lots of people shoot me strange looks when they see what I'm reading :o but I really like his way of writing and describing things...

    I found it a little slow and a little bit of a let down after Cell, but I did enjoy how it ended.
