Hopefully they took him out just for precaution. I think Chad Moeller is back at Scranton.

No. There was a collision at home plate. Both players were taken out.

Pudge? Yea bruised knee. They said he's day-to-day. They had to help him back to the clubhouse. Not a good sign. I couldn't believe it either.

Plus-to continue the 'A-Rod is not clutch" debate, I believe he has not had a hit tonight, and he came up at least twice with RISP, including when Derek was on 2nd, and he hit into a double play.

    Meanwhile Derek's had two RBI's?

Plus Derek was in Oklahoma City this am for Murcer's memorial service. (May Bobby RIP).

This from Brian Cashman: Chamberlain has what is being described as rotator cuff tendinitis. He will be rested for a week and then start a throwing program after being evaluated.
This does not sound good! Eeek. But does that need surgery or just rest?

Crap, they just said Sox and Rays won. Blech!

Also I would like to note-my Mom is watching this game on ESPN in Fla. Every time she watches, they win. W/o Fail. She is their good luck charm.
    Go Mom!

what was Jeter doing almost getting picked off. And Alex has a better avg. with runners on 1st. We can go on. I guess he's in a slump now. Are you watching Yankeeography?

They won't offer him anything. That's why they have Nady.

I just don't see them expecting Matsui and Damon to stay healthy, especially if they move Damon back to CF due to Melky's ineffectiveness. By the way, Abreu's throw out is kinda getting overlooked because of the collision at home. Big play!

Hughes pitching against the Pawsox tonight.

Betemit with another start tonight, this time at SS.

Hughes 4.1 3hits and 1 run. I think. Something like that. Pavano did well with Trenton. Hughes will get to throw 85-90 next start. Maybe up with the Yanks.

  • Call me crazy, or just plain stupid, but i actually expect something from him. Only because it's a contract year. If he has a good 6 weeks and possibly a good postseason, someone will pay him.

I doubt he'll be back this year. He's coming off of Tommy John surgery. But who knows?

I'm not sure. But it takes about a year to get to form. I guess it depends on your age also. I've heard people in the game say that they throw better than they did before the surgery. I think velocity-wise. The Yankees to pick Andrew Brackman is coming of the surgery also. He's someone that might make the rotation next year.

We gotta hope Hughes shows his good stuff when he's back. And Ponson continues to pitch well. And I think the bats should come around.
