He decided to get back into pro wrestling...in Japan. I know he had a no-compete lawsuit with WWE at one point. I'm not sure of the status right now.

An addiction to painkillers for starters. Angle has refused to go to rehab for treatment. Also, he has recently pushed his body past the breaking point, wanting to keep wrestling with groin pulls, muscle tears, etc, and did not want to take time off to heal. At the same time, he kept making repeated requests to managment that he should have another serious run with the title. Even though Angle has always been a consummate company man, he was really starting to alleniate colleagues backstage. With that combination of problems, WWE said enough was enough and released him.
This is why I hope he can turn the corner with TNA. He'll have the opportunity to keep a much, much lighter work schedule, since TNA only runs TV/PPV events maybe a total of three nights each month. It would really give him a chance to heal both his body and mind...
... unless he makes the foolish choice to fill his free days with independent dates, which is what a lot of the current TNA roster does to supplement their income. Hopefully Angle chooses to relax from his manic workaholic ways.0 -

Which is funny because Angle was teasing an MMA run last week.

Angle posted a message online taking some shots at the WWE. Nothing too major...however, he does claim they held him back for the last 6 years.
The line is drawn in the sand.
I think the fans will benefit from all of this.

It's funny about Angle, because after Eddy G's death, people thought Kurt was on a deathwatch due to his body breaking down and his love for pills. It will be interesting seeing how he ends up, if he really does go to TNA.0

I thought it was funny that USA was pushing to "not miss the first 10 minutes of Raw".
So, I tune in and the power was out.
I hope this is foreshadowing.

How do you think Ric Flair's body is holding up? Every time I see him on TV it looks like he is going to have a heart attack or burst a blood vessel in his neck. That guy should really think about full retirement. He must be in some kind of financial or legal trouble to keep on going like that.0

I read at pwinsider.com the other day that he keeps wrestling because he has a lot of bills to pay...he's on his third marriage.
It's sad really...the spirit of "The Nature Boy" is dead and buried.

The power went out as soon as they went live...for about the first 10 minutes, there were no lights (except for spot lights) in the arena...no pyro, nothing.
They were scrambling.

Didn't you mention at one time that Edge had gone back to his wife, thus dumping Lena, and that the WWE would not let them end the storyline of them as an item????All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. As far as I know, they are not a couple anymore. I don't know if he's gone back with his wife, but they sure do play it off well.

I liked it back in the day when they had the NWO and "Hollywood Hogan". What ever happened to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Especially when they would give someone a beat-down and then spray paint them. Ha ha.0

That was a great time...mainly because they broke some taboos. Hogan turning heel is something no one expected and Hall/Nash coming to WCW as invaders from WWF was pretty cool.
Hall is away from the business...Nash is sometimes featured in TNA.
