    I don't understand.....

If Mary was Jesus' mother, wouldn't taht make her the most important person, hence if she didn't exist, neither would have Jesus?

My point is there is no one more important than another. We are all here together, our energy is shared, we are one......selfishness and greed divide us....

Not jesus. Jesus goes beyond selfishness and greed. Mary is a tool; yet i mean this in the most positive of ways. She is a tool of god to bring jesus into the world.

Many other religous figures do the same as Jesus.

I agree that hypothetical Mary was a tool, but not any tool would have worked.....just as Religion is a tool to get the message across. Once upon a time mass religion to contol the masses was a great concept, then greed and slefishness corrupted the story, it is now time we all think for ourselves and find ourself, with that we will find the energy that connects us, and with that the change begins......(please don't take that the wrong way, I am not challanging your thinking ability....)

So does Buddha or the Dalai Lama. And I don't think Jesus would call himself the most important person ever.

So this person, who is suppose to be the all loving, all sacraficing, savior of the world, would put his self on soapbox and declare himself the most important person in history? That's not very modest....is it?

Actually, I don't think He would have to. Most of us would die in the Rapture, anyway.

I briefly thought of that possibility but that is too much of a stretch of plausiblity if there ever was one. A guy doesn't become the most famous man to ever walk the planet by sheer luck. Think of all the most famous people of the 20th century and none of them will ever compare to the fame this man Jesus achieved and the changes to societies (including the great Roman empire) that occured because of his influence. Once again this is not a debate about his divinity, just a retort to your quite bizarre claim that it was just dumb luck.

Just by sheer numbers, doesn't Allah have him beat?

As already stated by others Jesus has Mohammad clearly beat in this area but its not really a popularity contest anyway. For a variety of reasons the "Christian" world is in a much stronger position than the "Islamic" world economically and military. Secularisation is surely part if not most of the reason, but perhaps the religions themselves carry some weight as well. There has to be a good reason why this has occured, leaving the Islamic world behind.
    The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?

    Feels like were all alone
    Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow

    So what are we becoming?
    Where did we go wrong?
