“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. oh, go fuck yourself with the parroting of the kool-aid statement. here's what you said:
"...armed policemen stationed a few feet from the microphone is bloody fascism right there.
Man I tell ya people are getting blind these days. Conditioned to not noticing or questioning the blatantly obvious."
you said nothing about how quickly a gun was pointed at anyone. you pick and choose what you don't like and run with it. it's not fascism, and nobody is blind. armed policemen were there for protection of the speaker, not for any other reason you may dream up. i'm not saying anyone was justified in drawing a gun, just pointing out that there was a reason for guns to be at the venue."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

are you reading anything i wrote? you clearly said it was fascist because there were armed policemen there. once again, do you not understand why there were armed policemen in attendance? nevermind the fact he got tasered, nevermind someone pulled a gun. your original statement that made me reply (do i really need to copy and paste it again?) said nothing about pulling a gun out, only that you were disgusted that there were guns in attendance and labeled it fascist. it is not fascist. if anything, it's part of regulations.
i don't want to argue with you about whether someone should have pulled a gun out or not, but if you want my opinion, it shouldn't have happened. keep it holstered. stupid move on the part of the cops. i'm not willing to go so far as to call it fascist. just stupid.
and contrary to what you may believe, you're not right all the time. i'd have an easier time digesting what you have to say if you weren't so condescending all the time."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

well..what policemen aren't armed these days? It's assumed no?
I have no clue what you're trying to say now...
The cops (three?) were practically humping the mic...
That's intimidation.
If they wanted to actually protect the speaker they should have been near the stage, not at the microphone.

you know what, after watching that video again and trying to see when a gun was pulled, the only time i see one is when he tries to get free from the cops and moves in the direction of the stage, which would more than likely warrant anyone put in charge of protecting kerry to draw their weapon. also, the video is a bit grainy, but could the gun actually be a stun gun? it looks rather boxy at the end of the barrel."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

It looked like a gun. I would imagine they all passed through metal detectors prior to entering. Perhaps not.
I think it was purely an act of intimidation.

well, that's where we differ. the only thing i might partially agree with you is pulling an actual gun out. the thing that would worry me most about that is if it accidentally went off and hit someone in the crowd. i can understand someone being jittery when a person makes a move towards the stage, but pulling an actual firearm should be the last thing they do. but i don't even know if i agree that it was a gun and not a stun gun. it really does look very large and boxy at the end of the barrel. i watched the cops in LA use a stun gun on a guy in a disabled car, holding a hostage. i can't say it looked exactly the same as what i see in this video, but kinda similar. is there a clearer video out of this kid getting arrested?"Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

i don't agree. this kid was getting thrown out by the organizers of the event (the people that paid kerry to speak, not this kid), police went to escort him out, he got extremely loud and disruptive and tried numerous times to break free from the cops. there's no way of knowing for sure, but i'd be willing to bet all the money i have if he just let the cops walk him out, speaking his mind on the way out (not shouting his mind, but speaking), he wouldn't have been tased or arrested.
i've seen numerous videos here on the train of people protesting many different things, and when they act civil (even when breaking the law), they're treated with respect. when you get out of control, nobody knows what you're going to do next and things that don't have to happen, happen."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

He asked a question they grabbed him. The police assaulted him. You can't just grab people and start twisting their arms behind their back for talking.
He was right to question the police. The police were the ones breaking the law...namely the right to freedom of speech .
cmon...smarten up..
