    This is getting a little unbelievable. Go ahead and hold me personally responsible and accuse me of having no class. Join the communist party and demand equal shares for everyone. However, I live in the real world where democracy prevails. I worked my ass off to be able to have the means to afford the luxuries that I desire. The last thing I need is to have some punk jump on my ass for doing what I want. And in all honesty, the selfishness and senseless reasoning which you are exhibiting reduces any concern I may have had for your inability to obtain this record.

    I get it and it's cool. But if we say there's 2000 pressed (and it's probably more) then I'd say a lot of people did get it for $20. There's only a minority that bought it and are now flipping. In a perfect world we'd be able to stop the people buying it who don't want it legitimately, those that are just going to put it on ebay immediately and take advantage of the demand. I just don't see any possible way to do that... It's the same with ticket scalpers. All they do is create a false demand for something that drives the price up. It's taking advantage of the market and I guess that's why scalping is illegal in some places.

    The only real solution is that the retail price rises to the market value. When 10C sells posters, they have to sell them for a price where flippers have no benefit in buying them. I wonder how many people would've bought a limited edition ITW vinyl if it cost $100 from 10C? Probably instead people would just moan that the price is too high (like with the poster book). You can't have it both ways.

    i got a copy of the fuckin record... its not about that... there are bigger issues at play here then whos able to afford what... its about a trend... besides this thread is simply a "petition"... im not telling anyone what they cant do... its freewill... itd just be nice if people considered the ramifications... if you support sign the petition... if not then dont... its that simple... no ones jumping on your ass

    when the cost of goods (food, metal, wood, etc.) rises, so does the prices of items businesses sell. when these prices rise, so do workers wages so they can afford to live. it's called inflation. i guess you'd rather PJ lose money by lowering their prices to what things cost back in 1990? surely a person educated in economics 101 understands this is how things have been for hundreds of years.

    pearl jams prices essentially have remained the same... theyre not losing or making any more money than they ordinarily would! greedy fans are the only ones who profit off of this inflation... unless of course they donate a portion of their ebay sales to a deserving charity... and natural market inflation as you described it happens over months, if not years... not with a brand new product overnight... i hope adam smiths invisible hand gives you a good bitch slap!

    Coincidentally the poster books are still available from 10club, and there are none for sale on ebay. I think the moral of this story is, when you make something limited edition, and cheap when there is huge demand for it prices are only going to rise. 10 club can't really control the demand but they most certainly can control the supply.
