I find the singer to be beyond annoying and whiny. He whined so bad in the music videos and looked like some punky prep or something. I've also heard he has a nasty attitude towards other bands. I'll be sure to throw a boo or two out there.
yeah, i agree. i actually liked their 1st single and bought their 1st album, but i dont know, their videos were really lame and like you say they seem like some preppy wanna bes or something. he's got a nasty attitude, too? fuck them

Mine would have to be LIT. They were playing at my school a few years back and i figured, what the fuck, why not go and watch a concert. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking horrible. I walked out 3 songs in.

best part: Lead guitar player with that shitty long goatee

Gp(guitar player): You know whats good about a dry campus?

    crowd: waiting for a reply

    Gp: Fucking nothin...
absolutely embarrased to admit my girl dragged me to a britney spears concert a couple of years ago, and it was pathetic, she lip synced most of the concert. i used to think she was pretty hot, but she's pretty gross now. . .the 1st concert i ever went to in '97 was a show put on by the major local pop station in this area, and it was god awful, all these techno/dance/house music bands, i remember one was quad city djs. horrific.

  • Weezer opening for the Foo Fighters at U of Illinois last year. If You're gonna suck that bad, At least DO SOMETHING while on stage. And don't cover the band you're opening for (they played Big Me)

Close second: H.I.M. in St Louis in may '06. I won tickets off the radio, and even FREE BOOZE couldn't help that sorry show.

Not the worst show I've ever seen (there have been some openers at indie shows that made me want to shove chopsticks in my ears), but certainly the most disappointing was the Stones in 1978. They totally phoned it in, it was so obvious that they were just going through the motions and weren't really there at all. It was a real shame ... Peter Tosh opened and was fantastic, then we got this shitty ass Stones show. I've seen the Stones 3 other times when they were great, but that show was bullshit.

  • 1997 Wu-Tang and Rage Against the Machine tour...ATARI TEENAGE RIOT opened. And I now welcome you to the official ATR in your living room do-it-yourself kit:

    1. Turn up your stereo as loud as it can go (so it's completely distorted and unbearable to listen to).

    2. Now invite the three people you hate most in the world to come over and SCREAM like lunatics (while the stereo is still blaring).

    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for 45 minutes.

    4. Enjoy the show.

The Chili Peppers having zero stage presence? You have to be kidding. You must have seen them on an off day because they have an amazing stage energy that is rarely, if ever, matched. Check out their DVD, Live at Slane Castle if you haven't already. I know there are a lot of Chili Pepper haters on the PJ boards for some reason (probably because they are more mainstream now) but shit, they kick ass live!

The chili's are one of my favorite groups. But live, they are . . . .boooooring.

    My worst live shows are:

    1. The Stones in Oakland: Saw PJ open, then fell asleep in my seat for the Stones after about 3 songs.

    2. The Frogs: Horrid is the only description that I have.

    3. Ol' Dirty Bastard: He was so drunk he did 4 songs and left.

  • Discounting crappy bands I've seen in clubs, A Perfect Circle is the absolute worst show I've ever seen...during the 13th Step tour. They sounded like complete crap, and 'nardo literally laid down on the stage floor for about 3 songs while insulting the crowd during breaks...that's when I left.

probably one of the best live experiences ive been to. and yes, they do play instruments live.......some of the music uses pre-recorded stuff because the album used special effects.........radiohead uses tons of pre-recorded stuff live too.

I've seen some shitty shows in my flannel days.....these were the worst:

Stone Temple Pilots - Weiland was an asshole.....challenging everyone in the crowd to fight. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones opened - they rocked!!!!!

Red Hot Chili Peppers - A. Kiedis can't sing to save his soul. It was a free show.....all I lost was time. So boring!!!!

Soundgarden - another instance of a singer who can't perform live (and this was over 10 years ago - so no excuses about him losing his voice.....he always sucked)
In my world everyone is a pony,

I'm supposed to go see the chili Peppers tonight 1/13/07 so hopefully the weather still allows us to drive down there safely and the show is still scheduled as of right now 11:30am. I'm hoping it's a good show, and I don't have to add them to this list... I really hope I don't . I'll let you all know how it is though, assuming we still can make it to the show, and goes on as scheduled.

Neil Young acoustic...he was really drunk and and slurring words badly.
Never got up out of his chair the entire show, and i love Neil Young.

Your a dick basing it on your single experience. What pisses me off is that people like you got to see them and I won't. Look up his live stuff on you tube.
