I watched MacGruber for the first time this last weekend. The premise looked dumb and I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually really, really funny.

seriously? MacGruber. no, seriously? I heard it was one of the worst films ever made.

Saw Dark Shadows - thought it was funny! My mother would never let us watch the original soap opera when we were little because she said it was too scary. Johnny Depp was great in the role of Barnabas Collins.

Next I want to see Men in Black III.

F*%* that. Bladerunner is one of a kind. Everything was perfect, the cast, the atmosphere, etc.
  • Bladerunner is one of the greatest films ever made. No need to return to it or try and replicate any of its components. Doomed to fail. Ah well. I guess its brand recognition that makes money these days. They even did a film based on the board game Battleships for crying out loud.

Well.. they'll try anything I guess.

I think I'm to watch Bladerunner again this week-end.

If anyone's in the mood for a good stoner movie, see High School (comes out today)! I caught it at a local film fest in 2010 and it was hilarious.

I just saw the preview for that today, and thought it looked really funny, but its not playing around here. :(

I really enjoyed it, and I was sober when I saw it. I've been waiting nearly two years to see it again, and to have someone else to talk with about it. Hopefully you'll get a release sometime.

In a way yes in a way no. I don't want to spoil anything so I wont elaborate but this film has nothing to do with the events of Alien or the sequels really. At least not directly. There will be a sequel to Prometheus though.

If you want a good film to go and see I recommend Moonrise Kingdom.

i enjoyed Prometheus. there was a few things that could have been done better but overall i thought it was a pretty good movie.

Ridley Scott has said that there would be another 2 movies between this and the start of Alien. whether those 2 movies actually get made will probably depend on how this one is received.

every first friday of the month our local indie movie theater does "First Friday Fright Night" (my friends host it). Anywho tonight they showed a film called Popcorn. I had never even heard of this until they had the preview for it a few months back. Came out in '91. Only person i recognized was one of the lead charaters, Tom Villard. He was in One Crazy Summer (with John Cusak, Demi Moore, Bobcat Goldthwait). Popcorn was pretty fun though.
