So I saw "The Raven" last night starring John Cusack. It was ok. Something felt like it was missing, direction maybe? I think the director missed some points here and there. and the acting was just average.

I heard that Van Damme wouldn't do the movie is Seagal was in it.

I never knew about this show, my wife said she loved it and wants to see it even though it is probably different than the original series.

I think most people went for the novelty of seeing all those people in the same movie. Now that they've seen it, I have a feeling the sequel won't do as well. Sure, they added a few more names, but it's still the same concept. Cram as many action stars as possible into one film, and the rest will sort itself out.

I thought it was a little to long or slow too. Plus I found it difficult to process Brad Pitt as Bean and in a baseball movie altogether. I guess Kevin Costner was booked.
  • Saw 50/50 tonight. When i saw the PJ20 screening at the troc in philly they had raffles afterwards. One of the prizes was a 50/50 shirt. I was wondering why that was included now i know why (they played Yellow Ledbetter at the end of the movie). Didn't really surprise me too much (mainly cuz the movie takes place in Seattle). Good movie and decent soundtrack. Had some funny moments and touching ones as well :)

I watched this the other night. Cried like a baby at the end. It was a really nice film, I like how it ended, though I was expected a different ending.

I cried more when Yellow Ledbetter came on, I think I have been a bit stressed and overworked, plus I leave for Europe in 42 days and then I will be in San Francisco for 6 months. Longest time away from my family and Australia. I know it will be amazing and I will meet amazing people. I just think it was a flood of emotions came and hit me at one time.

Yeah, 50/50 was surprisingly touching. Seth Rogen did a spectacular job playing himself, which I guess shouldn't be a shock. And JGL proved again that he has the chops to be a big name in Hollywood for years to come.

I watched MacGruber for the first time this last weekend. The premise looked dumb and I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually really, really funny.

I watched it last night. As a film its pretty meh but it is funny. Worth a watch but its not in the same league as Borat.

Saw it tonight. I agree, it def. had it's funny moments. Laughed a lot but def. not as good as Borat, better than Bruno though.

Also saw Pirates! Band of Misfits a few nights earlier (free movie pass). That was pretty good. If you liked their other stuff like Wallace & Grommit I think you would enjoy this. Had the whole theater to myself which was nice (first time in awhile that's happened  ).

    I recently watched
Annie Hall (woody allen, late 70's) -- good flick.

The new Muppet Movie -- was just OK, something was missing, but there was a great cameo or two.

Fair Game -- based on the true story of Valerie Plame, ex CIA agent whose status was revealed illegally by Chaney, Rove, and Libby. Really good flick so far, but I have about 30 minutes left to watch later tonight.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)
