Going to another one of my mom's fundraisers tonight with the sole purpose of winning these two raffles:
Public Craft Brewing Co.
Two (2) Pint Glasses
T-Shirt (XL, but may be exchanged for another size)
Gift Certificate good for one growler (64 oz) filled with your choice of beer. Or you could just spend it on pints and/or products!
Dark Lord Imperial Stout – Three Floyds Brewing Company
2013 brew – a very rare and very special beer. Rated 100 on RateBeer.com

Dark Lord Imperial Stout was the absolute worst beer I've ever had. Seriously, it tasted like a blend of coffee and motor oil. It even had the "intelligentsia" logo on the label, so you know coffee was in it.....

hmmm.... maybe that's why it was donated to the raffle :? oh well, think I try for it anyways, won't spend too much on it though.

First time drinking a Speakeasy Vendetta IPA...
very good, extremely fresh - almost a DIPA with its complexity of hops...
quite good, would like to try a draught opposed to the 22 oz bomber just to see if it finishes as dry...
Anyone else had this?

I've had it in a couple of 12oz bottles. It's okay.
Stone Farking Wheaton wOOtstout
13% ABV
=Imperial Stout brewed w/ pecans, wheat & rye, partially aged in bourbon barrels.
YUMMY!!! Little warm here in San Diego, don't want to drink a lot of it, but it is tasty...
Collab w/ Drew Curtis (fark.com), Wil Wheaton (yep, that Wil Wheaton) & Greg Koch...
Buying a few more today to age...glad I didn't go for the 2L growler last night, might have outlasted the appropriate carbonation
I recommend it and would love to read thoughts if anyone else has tried it.
PROST!
this is the first day in years that im posting in the forums and I am so damn stoked to find this thread again. I just started working for fdny but before that I worked at a beer distributor part time as therapy for my full time job at the time. I am on untapped at robbyblaylock.
cheers!

Wish I knew how to properly add pictures in this forum, but our weekly bottle share turned into Sour Power. Allagash Coolship Red was my favorite. New Glarus Enigma was second, then the 25th Anniversary Goose Island Flanders Red. We also had NG Strawbeery Rhubarb, Serendipity, and Wild Sour. Russian River Consecration, Rivertown Ojos Negros, Quetsche Tilquin, Almanac Farmer's Reserve #3, Fantome Saison, Boulevard Saison-Brett, Lost Abbey Red Poppy, and then a couple excellent IPAs in Maine Lunch & Pliny the Elder.
Pretty spectacular bottle graveyard after that one.

New Belgian Brewing Co just started distributing to my neck o the woods this past week. Got three bombers of (not sure of the exact names) Summer Wheat Belgian-style, IPA, and a Tripel. Not expecting to be blown away but they were only like $3.50 a piece.
On another note, just tried the Victory V12 quad...that is some serious stuff.
This may have been mentioned before, but for all those who love craft beer; Fort Collins / Boulder, CO is the place to be.
Certainly one of the places to be, thats for sure. Fresh LaFolie from New Belguim and Myrcenary and IPA from Odell are my faves in that area. My fave though in Colorado was Oskar Blues - the Grapefruit G'Night and Gubna were incredible and Old Chub hot sauce drenched on a killer oyster po'boy made that Longmont joint my fave in CO.
Now San Diego has some pretty fine craft brew ourselves, my friend...
Prost!

The same could be said for Asheville, NC and Portland, OR

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

I'll give ya Portland for sure - I've had many a great pint there as well as from there.
But outside of French Broad and Highlands, I personally was a tad underwhelmed by Asheville's local offerings...and being a big IPA fan, I find the west coast is the best coast for those...(Alchemist in VT being quite the exception)
Fact of the matter is craft beer towns are stronger then ever, San Fran, Portland, Longmont/Fort Collins, San Diego, Bend, Kansas City, Vermont, MI, FL, IL, etc...
I'd love some IPA suggestions from Asheville that I can try next time I get out that way or can look out for here.
Cheers!

This is the list of beers at the bar tonight:

I know they have a ton on tap too. Should be a fun night!!!
People love it! They have a special day at the brewery for it. Terrible in my opinion.
Sounds like my kind of beer.

Solid brew!
Delightful indeed. Something about pouring out of a can into a glass that really made me think I was about to drink dirty motor oil.
Wootstout in no way shape or form taste like it is 13%
