Hopslam was just released this week. It should be distributed for the next couple of months.

Also picked up the new Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA, very tasty!!! I love rye beers and whiskey for that matter.

I've got a 6 pack reserved at Total Wine for when it comes in. Probably my favorite beer in the world when it's fresh.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Here are a few of my options for this evening. The top shelf of my beer fridge is dominated by 750ml and 22 oz bottles. The second shelf is high alcohol stuff and local favorites. The lower shelves and doors (unseen) are used mostly for daily drinkers and seasonals.

I may swing by Total Wine to see if they have any SN Ruthless Rye in stock yet.

I chose the wrong time to take a couple weeks off from drinking to shed a few lbs. I have an excellent selection at home I want to dive into.

I hear ya on supporting the locals. Sweetwater and Terrapin are the big ones in GA and i try to support them but their stuff isn't always top notch. A lot of their side projects and dank tanks can be fun though.
GA has seen a few more popping up over the years with Red Brick, Ode to Mercy, Jailhouse, and Red Hare all making on the scene

Anybody heard of this or use it? I just got an invite code this week...the legalities of shipping beer confuse me so I'm not really sure if I can or can't legally participate but it would be a good way to obtain beers I normally couldn't

EDIT: Well I figured out that they cannot ship to me, which is what I figured.

Haven't tried it yet. I hear the aroma is amazing, but the flavor is underwhelming.

Over Christmas I was in Richmond, VA and went to a little bar. Low and behold, what did I see on the beer menu?

    IMG_0076-1.jpg

Most expensive bottle of beer I have ever been privy to experience. $29.00 clams. I couldn't pull the trigger.

I did find it at a grocery store on my way home for $12.00 and grabbed one up though.

    Damn I love this shit.

So a couple people have said "drink it fresh", so does that mean it's not a good beer to age?

I thought of maybe trying to start a little club on here so we could ship each other brews not available in our areas. I don't know how often I could afford the expense of shipping and all but it would be fun once a month or every couple of months.

I was reading an article in BeerAdvocate saying that there is a law tabled in congress to start allowing USPS to ship alcohol, but still a lot of red tape behind it. However, the same article also said that UPS and FedEx do allow it, so maybe that's a better option....

If you like a Chocolaty Stout, I highly recommend Jester King's Black Metal.... pretty alcoholic at 10.5 abv, but a very tastey chocolate stout for sure... best I've had in a long time...

Last night's consumption consisted of a 22 oz bomber of Clown Shoes Belgan IPA called Tramp Stamp, followed by a few Windmere Bros winter warmers, called simply Brrrrr!

both were pretty good, the Brrrr! I would highly recommend trying if you have access... very hoppy for a warmer, if you're a hop head you'll like it....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
